We have an abstract Zendoodle art class on August 14, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. This class is for beginners, and the main goal is to learn how to use art as a way to relax. We will teach some techniques, but the great thing about abstract art is that there is no wrong way to do it. I hope you will join us for fun and relaxation!

Today is National Intern Day and Henderson County Extension would like to recognize our summer intern, Travis Herndon.

Travis came home again to Henderson County Extension. He grew up as a 4-Her and was involved in the 4-H Bullseye Brigade club. This summer he conducted a Bug Camp alongside our 4-H Program assistant. He assisted with various 4-H Day camps and summer camp where he taught a class on trap shooting. He assisted our Horticulture agent with collecting various plant specimens for testing from several homeowners in Henderson County. He worked with the 4-H Livestock Club with various shows at our county fair. A graduate of Henderson County High School, he will soon graduate from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Fruit, Vegetable, Nursery and Greenhouse Production.

We are thankful he chose to come back home and share his enthusiastic work ethic with us. We wish you luck Travis in your next chapter.
