Opal Lorene Snider

Opal Lorene Snider, 92, of Cairo, passed away on November 7, 2025, surrounded by family and friends, at Redbanks Nursing facility under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice. She was born May 19, 1933, to the late Alvie and Mary Brown Phillips.

Opal was a longtime member of Cairo Methodist Church.

Opal was known for her humor and witty comebacks and provided lots of laughs for her family and friends. She loved to sing and was a choir member for many years. In the summer, you could easily find her in the swing on her back porch, enjoying nature and waving to all the passersby. It was obvious that Opal loved people and excelled in social settings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Snider; daughter-in-law, Clemma Snider; brother, Murlin (Murt) Phillips; and sister-in-law, Sharon Phillips.

Opal is survived by her son, Ralph Snider; sister, Brenda Phillips; nephew, Keith (Tammy) Phillips; niece, Kim (Steve) Palismo; great nieces, Lindsay (Charles) LaRue, Ashley (Dan) Montgomery; great nephew, Justin Palismo; great-great nephew, Preston LaRue; and close family friend, Linda Walters.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel, with burial to follow at Fairmont Cemetery. Rev. Joe Cox and Rev. Michele Nally are officiating.

Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Charles LaRue, Dan Montgomery, Justin Palismo, Greg Snider, Kevin Stevenson, and Michael Stevenson.

Thelma (Hazelwood) Goldsberry of Henderson, Kentucky passed away November 9 at Redbanks Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family, under the compassionate care of St. Anthony's Hospice and Redbanks Nursing Staff.

Thelma was born January 11, 1933 in Hebbardsville, Kentucky. She as a member of Zion Baptist Church. She was a member of the order of the Eastern Star. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and she found joy in life's simple pleasures. Thelma graduated from Hebbardsville High School in 1951.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Irene Hazelwood; her husband of 52 years Ronald Goldsberry, Sr.; all three of her children Evelyn Kay, Ronald Jr. and Daniel Mark; and siblings, Archie (Jeanette), Arnold (Martha), Evelyn Flynn Johnson (John and VJ) and sister in law Suzie Hazelwood.

Survived by two brothers, Hugh (Patricia) of Henderson and Larry of Henderson; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1:00 Thursday November 13, 2025 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Pastor Mike Spivey officiating and Jonathon Goldsberry assisting.

Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery next to her husband and children.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Goldsberry, Leroy Goldsberry, Jason Goldsberry, Daniel Goldsberry, Jonathon Goldsberry and Matthew Conville.

She was born June 12, 1934, in Spottsville, KY to the late A. J. and Carrie Green.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Larry Boucher and Robert Lee Carter; brothers, Otis Leroy, James A. and Harold W. Green; sisters; Elizabeth Koebrick, Frances Ferguson, Margaret Edwards, Louise Haynes and Norma Shetterly and step-grandson, Zachary Crain.

Sally is survived by her daughter, Leigh Ann Boucher; step-daughter, Robyn Carter Crain; step-sons, Larry Boucher, Jr, Duaine Boucher and Charles Carter; grandson, Nathan Glickman; step-grandchildren, Marji Nicodemus, Wesley Boucher, Brooke Hall, Brenna Brooking, Brittney Carter, Robert Carter, Sydney Singleton, Will Crain; eight step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be 1:00 pm, Monday, November 10 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Rev. Mary Wrye and Dr. Tim Hobbs officiating.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time, Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Fairmont Cemetery at 2:30 pm.

Karen Sue Hayden, 65, of Henderson, passed away on November 2, 2025.

She was born on February 7, 1960 in Henderson to the late Lee Ander and Florene Bowley. Karen enjoyed watching horror movies, shopping, and dancing—simple pleasures that brought her great joy and laughter throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Karen is survived by her two daughters, Tiffany Hayden and Umanda Floyd; one brother, Raymond Bowley; and four grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Long, Sebastian Brice Long, Aaliyah Elizabeth Nichols, and Camron Michael Nichols; great grandchild, Emani Elaine Powell.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Burial wil be in Fairmont Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, November 10 from 3:30 PM-7:00 PM and Tuesday, November 11 from 11:00 AM until service time.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Wayne Parrish, age 74, of Henderson, Kentucky, who departed this life on November 2, 2025, due to natural causes. Born on October 19, 1951, Charles was a dedicated member of his community and served as Garage Superintendent for the City of Henderson.

Charles was a man of remarkable skill and tenacity, finding joy in working with his hands. He had a passion for home improvement projects and possessed the unique ability to fix anything-especially cars. His talent and dedication were evident in all aspects of his life.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife of over 20 years, Betty Parrish; his children, Jason Parrish (Valerie), Greta Wong (Johnny Whitledge), and Amanda Parrish; his brother, David Parrish (Ann); and three cherished grandchildren, Lillian Parrish, Nolan Wong, and Luka Cardenas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. and Lessie (Stone) Parrish; his sister, Valada Arnett; and his granddaughter, Brittany McDowell.

Visitation will be held on November 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home. Charles will be laid to rest in Fairmont Cemetery, where family and friends are invited to gather in memory of a truly remarkable man.

In honor of Charles's legacy, let us remember him for his unwavering dedication to his family, his community, and his craft. He will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

She was born in Union County, KY on February 17, 1958.

She was retired as a supervisor at Carhartt in Hanson, KY. Jean loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and family. She also enjoyed camping, riding horses and 4 wheelers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Teresa Baize and John Baize, husband William Earl "Billy'' Pryor, daughter; Billie Jean 'B. J. "Weaver, 3 sisters; Sherry Brooks, Eva Jo Calhoun and Lula Belle McLean.

She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Paul and husband, Stacy of Slaughters, KY.

2 grandchildren; Tori Paul and Christian Paul.

3 Great grandchildren; Re*****on Rose Paul, Ryder Lane Paul and Wolf Conrad Calcutta.

Brother; Charles Mclean and wife Diann of Henderson, KY

Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, November 5th at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel.

Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, KY.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 4th from 4:00 until 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Joyce (Littrel) Riley, 83, of Henderson peacefully passed away on October 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.

She was born in Henderson Ky, on March 27, 1942, to the late Morris, Sr. "Jack" and Bertie (Cates) Littrel.

Joyce owned and operated Pleasant Point Salon, where her kindness, humor, and sense of style touched the lives of everyone who sat in her chair. After retiring, she continued to share her generous spirit through music, often playing for residents at the local nursing home, brightening their days with song and laughter.

She loved to travel jewelry trade shows where they sold jewelry they manufactured. She also loved to go to an antique store filled with hidden treasures. A faithful volunteer, she devoted time each week to serving at the Salvation Army, always ready with a smile and a helping hand. She attended Dayspring Church of God of Prophecy.

Joyce is proceeded in death by her first husband William J. Sandefur; her infant twin sons Dwight and Dwayne Sandefur; and her 3 brothers, Morris Littrel Jr, David Littrel, and James H. Littrel.

She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years Ralph “Jack” Riley, one son Jackie Wayne Sandefur (Edith) of Henderson, Ky; two step sons, Ralph Riley (Vickie) of Henderson Ky, and David Riley of Henderson, Ky; one grandchild, Tyler Wayne Sandefur (Reyna) of Henderson; three step grandchildren, Christi Trimbath (Ryan) of Evansville IN, Ralph Riley Jr (Jamie) of Glasco Ky, and Jonathan Riley of Henderson Ky, two great grandchildren, Atlas and Athena Sandefur; two step great grandchildren, Blake and Evan (Megan) Riley; two brothers Bobby Wayne (Judy) Littrel of Henderson Ky, and Larry Littrel of Atlanta Ga; a special thank you to her niece and caregiver Pam Dennis, and family and friends for their support and prayers.

Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Brother Greg Lindsey officiating. Entombment will be at Fairmont Cemetery Mausoleum

Albert “Doc” Wayne Majors, 76, of Henderson, passed away at 10:17 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, surrounded by family and friends at home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.

He was born in Henderson on April 6, 1949, to the late George and Anna (Collier) Majors.

Wayne graduated from Henderson County High in 1967 and later retired from both HMPL and Lowe's. A devoted follower of God, he was saved and active in his faith. He was a former member of Cornerstone Christian Church, where he found joy in assembling and delivering food baskets to those in need, and was most recently a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. He loved hunting with his "brothers" and enjoyed antiquing, taking scenic drives through the countryside, and stopping by McDonald's for his morning coffee. A true people person, he was always ready to share a good story or tell a joke.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Wayne Majors, and sister, April Jo Majors.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna Jeanette Majors; daughter, Jodie Majors Tobey (Brad) of McKinney, Texas; sisters, Phyllis Ann Tow of Sebree and Martha Jean Franey (Donald) of Dixon; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and fur babies, Michi, Dottie, Phoebe, Luna, Momma Kitty, Trixie, and Butters.

Funeral Mass will be at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Shibu Cheriyankunnel officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 4, from 3-7 p.m. with rosary at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday, November 5, from 9-11 a.m. at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.

Pallbearers are Luke Sosa, Damon Hobbs, Brandon Tow, Jacob Shoulders, Tim Faulkner, Owen Faulkner, Cole Faulkner, and Phillip Shreve.

She was born in Waverly, Kentucky, on October 10, 1922, to the late Ezra and Ara Woodard. Lillie was a member of Mill Road Baptist Church in Evansville. She enjoyed life to the fullest and took great joy in quilting, canning, cooking, and tending to her garden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas "Tony" Brooks, Sr.; her second husband, Paul Connelly; her son, Tommy Edward Brooks; her daughter, Carolyn Jean Dewar; brothers, Fred Alvis Woodard, Marion Carvel Woodard, William Elbert Woodard and Leamon Ray Woodard; sisters, Amy Catherine Cole, Marthella Ruth Cook Jenkins, Dorothy Alice Henderson; two grandchildren, Guy Edward Brooks "P. Beninda Jean Raley, 70, of Henderson, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.

Beninda was born in Henderson, KY, on October 22, 1955, to the late Ewing and Lorraine White. She enjoyed going to yard sales, looking for 4-leaf clovers, and watching scary movies, especially “Halloween”. In her younger years, she loved to travel, taking weekend trips with her sisters. Above all, Beninda loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her two grandchildren, Holden and Kamryn.

In addition to her parents, Beninda was preceded in death by her brother, Steven White.

Beninda is survived by her children, Robert Raley (Kristi), and Karl Raley, both of Owensboro, KY; sisters, Debbie Edelen (James) of Owensboro, KY, and Angie McLevain (David) of Hebbardsville, KY; two grandchildren, Holden Raley and Kamryn Raley, and many nieces and nephews who loved her daily.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel. Visitation will be held on Sunday, from 12:00 PM until service time.
