It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Creviston, who left us peacefully on January 6, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on June 15, 1950, Jeffrey lived a life filled with love, passion, and dedication to his family and country.

A cherished son of Delbert and Norma Creviston, Jeffrey was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Diane, and his brother, Norm. He is survived by his brothers, Robin and Ronald Creviston, and his beloved grandson, Jacob Clemens, who brought immeasurable joy to his later years.

Jeffrey proudly served his country as a United States Navy veteran, embodying the courage and commitment that defined his character. After his military service, he honed his skills as an auto body mechanic, specializing in the artful painting of Corvettes. His craftsmanship was renowned among car enthusiasts, and he took great pride in transforming vehicles into stunning pieces of art.

Beyond his professional achievements, Jeffrey was known for his love of animals and his spirited passion for dancing. He brought happiness to those around him, sharing laughter and camaraderie wherever he went.

In remembrance of Jeffrey's remarkable life, a memorial service will be held at a later date, with a burial at Springdale Cemetery. Details of the services will be announced to honor his memory and celebrate the impact he had on all who knew him.

Jeffrey's spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, as they cherish the memories of a loving husband, a devoted brother, and a proud grandfather. He will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Nancy Laverne Turner, 87, of Henderson, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026 at Deaconess Henderson.

She was born in Uniontown, KY, on September 25, 1938, to the late Ellis and Oma (Bennett) Turner.

Nancy worked at Dixon’s Appliance and Furniture and volunteered at Pleasant Pointe. She was a member of Finley Baptist Church in Henderson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond (Bobbie) Turner and Albert Turner; sister, Elva (Richard) Shockley; and brother-in-law, John Gough.

Nancy is survived by her sisters, Joyce Dixon of Henderson, Dorris Knott of Uniontown, and ImoJean Gough of Morganfield; sister-in-law, Betty Turner of Morganfield; nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 10 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Rev. Jeff Burke officiating.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, January 10, from 12 p.m. until the funeral time.

Dwight Eldon Chaney, 75, of Henderson, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026 at Lucy Smith King Care Center.

He was born in Hopkinsville on November 17, 1950 to Herbert and Izetta (Farmer) Chaney.

Dwight worked as an insurance agent with Transamerica and was a member of Henderson’s First Baptist Church and the Jaycees. He loved UK sports and Henderson County football and spent his time working in the yard, barbecuing, and playing the guitar.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Chaney; three children, Brandon Ross (Katrina) Chaney of Springfield, VA, Dustin Eli (Cynthia) Chaney of Henderson, and Winston Drew Chaney of Henderson; three grandchildren, Miles Zachary Chaney, Kylie (Eli) Chinn, and Ellie Marie Chaney; one great grandchild, Gentry Pate Chinn; brother, Warren Chaney of Friendswood, TX; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 9 at Henderson’s First Baptist with Bro. Kenny Noblett officiating.

Visitation will be at the church Friday, January 9 from 10 a.m. until service time.

Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to St. Anthony’s Hospice.

Johanna (Dickson) Galloway, a cherished member of the Henderson community and a dedicated registered nurse, passed away on January 3, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on March 24, 1945, in Henderson County, Kentucky, she was the beloved daughter of the late Melvin and Martha (Brisby) Dickson. Johanna was a proud graduate of Henderson City High School, class of 1963, and went on to make a significant impact in healthcare, serving at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington and Community Methodist Hospital in Henderson.

A devoted member of First United Methodist Church, Johanna's spirit and compassion extended beyond her professional life, touching the hearts of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Glenn Galloway, and her brother, Melvin Dickson Jr.

Johanna leaves behind her treasured children, Joseph Galloway (Robyn) and Martha Lamble (Steven); her adoring grandchildren, Becca Williams, Bryce Galloway, Brady Galloway, Abby Davis, Anna Davis, and Reagan Lamble; as well as five great grandchildren and nieces and nephews who will honor her legacy with love and gratitude.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date, with interment to follow at Fairmont Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Anthony's Hospice in Johanna's memory. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and community will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Marsha Kay Lubcke (Nunn), 72, a beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Marsha was born in Henderson, KY, on January 15, 1953. She worked for the Department of the Blind for over 10 years. She always loved to make sure others were happy and made sure they had a full belly. Marsha dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 52 years and their two children. Marsha’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, cooking, baking, and crocheting. She always lived life to the fullest and with the utmost grace, with a lifetime full of stories, too many to count.

Marsha is survived by her husband, Steve Lubcke; children, Jennifer McGan (Jimmy), and Renee Hooks (Ron); grandchildren, Katie Johnston (Levi), Josh McGan, Justin McGan, Kristen Cisneros (Matt), and Ben Hooks (Callie); great grandchildren, Jordan, Avery, Gabe, Sam, Finnegan, Luke, Ezekiel, and Alice.

A private burial will take place at a later date. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of St. Anthony’s Hospice.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Kloke, who left this world on January 2, 2026. A cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, Donna will be lovingly remembered for her warmth, creativity, and unwavering spirit.

As a long-time member of Spottsville Baptist Church, Donna's faith was a cornerstone in her life, guiding her through her many endeavors. She spent many fulfilling years as a dedicated insurance agent with Latta Insurance, where she touched the lives of countless clients with her kindness and professionalism. After retirement, she embraced a new chapter as a fitting room clerk at Walmart, where her friendly presence brought joy to shoppers in the community.

Donna had a passion for arts and crafts, finding joy in creating beautiful pieces that she generously shared with her family and friends. Whether it was a handmade gift or a delightful shopping trip, she always delighted in spreading happiness and love.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald "Butch" Kloke, her parents, Robert and Margaret Williams; and her brother Ronald E. Williams. Donna is survived by her daughter, Melissa Schweikhard (Matt), two grandchildren, Jonas Schweikhard (Sydney) and Kolby Schweikhard (Meghan), and two great-grandchildren, Lawson and Callahan Schweikhard, and her nephew Cliff Williams (Jan). Their lives will forever be enriched by her love and lasting legacy.

In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that Donna's love will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, creativity, and connection that will not be forgotten.

Nellie Faye Davis, 93, of Henderson, KY, passed away on December 30, 2025, at Rebanks Nursing and Rehab in Henderson, KY.

Nellie was born in Hazard, KY, to the late Jesse and Hounta Engle.

Nellie was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She was a member of the Henderson Homemakers Club and was a volunteer cook at First Assembly of God. She loved to travel, gardening, and most of all Jesus.

In addition to her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Thomas E. Davis; brothers, Vernon Engle, Harold Engle, and Vogel Engle; sister, Dorothy Isom; grandchildren, Eric O'Nan, Michael Patterson; great-grandchild, Kaleb Porter.

Nellie is survived by her children, Diana Davis, Susan Kumar, Timothy Davis; grandchildren, John O'Nan, Kevin O'Nan, Elizabeth Waters, Lora Patterson, and Christina Wiseman; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Waters, Kali Patterson, Christopher; and one great-great-grandchild, Emerson Waters.

Sofia Perez De Barco of Washington, IN and formerly of Sebree, KY passed away Friday January 2, 2026 at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, IN.

She was born in San Felipe, Guanajuato, Mexico on October 13, 1938 to the late Espiridion Perez Martinez and Margarita Perez Servin.

Sofia was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Sebree. She enjoyed spending time with her family, was always looking out for them. She was very affectionate with everyone. She loved going to church and praying the Holy Rosary.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Emilio Barco, grandchildren; Luis Miguel Barco Martinez, Jovani Gabriel Martinez Barco and Pepe Chuy Martinez Barco, Brothers and sisters; Inosencio Perez, Jose Perez and Raquel Perez.

She is survived by 6 children; Artemio (Gabriela) Barco, Mario (Carmen) Barco, Ma De la Luz (Mateo) Perez, Silvia (Jorge) Martinez, Hector (Consuelo) Barco and Rosalinda (Artemio) Bautista.

Visitation will be Friday January 9, 2026 from 12:00 until 8:00 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel, and Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at St. Michaels Catholic Church.

Stacy "Stoney" Stone, a cherished member of the Henderson, Kentucky community, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on May 31, 1958, in Crittenden County, he was the beloved son of the late Harry and Katherine (Hill) Stone.

Stacy was known for his vibrant personality, infectious laughter, and unwavering work ethic. He brought joy to every gathering and never met a stranger, making friends wherever he went. A true car enthusiast, he found immense pleasure in polishing and maintaining his prized Mustang.

He is survived by his daughter, Brittany Stone, and his son, Josh Stone (Stephanie). He was a proud grandfather to Daelynn Carver (Devon Johnson), Addison Stone, Emma Carver, Deacon Stone, and Marley Chaney. Additionally, he is survived by his siblings: Belinda Clement, Steve Stone, and Tim Stone, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will all cherish their memories of him.

Stacy was preceded in death by his siblings Randy Stone, Debbie Brown, Kevin "Doc" Stone and his four legged best friend, Harley.

In honor of his life, a Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM-5:00 PM January 18th at Thomasons Banquet Hall in Henderson Kentucky , where family and friends will gather to remember the joy, laughter, and love that Stacy shared with all.

Darrell Wayne Utley, 65, of Smith Mills, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Deaconess Henderson.

Born in Henderson to John Tom and Julia Annette (Inge) Utley, Darrell made his arrival as the first baby of the New Year in 1960.

He worked as an ironworker, farmer, and construction worker and was a member of Bellview Methodist Church in Smith Mills. Darrell also served his community as a Smith Mills volunteer firefighter. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and boating, and later, tinkering with stained glass. His happiest moments were those spent with his grandchildren, especially dressing up with them for Halloween. Darrell was known to his family as both hardheaded and a goofball and had a way of turning strangers into friends in no time.

Darrell was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.

Survivors include his children, Tiffany (Jacob) Knight and Nick Utley; 10 grandchildren, Zoe Smith, Mia Smith, Briar Utley, Alaster Knight, William Aiden Adams, Mason Adams, Amilia Knight, Nora Ruth Knight, Piper Utley, and Murphy Utley; two great grandchildren, Maddox Sturtz and Dallas Sturtz; father, John Tom Utley; brothers, Mike Utley and Tommy Utley; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 8 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Pastor Stephen Hale and Bro. Dennis Williams.

Burial will be private at a later date.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday, January 7 from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday, January 8 from 12 p.m. until service time.

Pallbearers will be Nick Utley, Briar Utley, Alaster Knight, William Aiden Adams, Mason Adams, Mike Utley, Tommy Utley, and Kirby Burke.

Honorary pallbearers will be Casey Green, Ron Inge, Brad Inge, George Christian, Brian Basham, and Spurg Gabhart.

Memorial contributions may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice and/or Pathways Counseling Services in Henderson.
