Eunice Marie Hughes

Eunice Marie Couch Hughes

Eunice lived for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for 95 years. Eunice shared many blessings and words of wisdom with her family and friends. In June of this year the immediate family was able to gather for a celebration of her life.

She grew up in both Sebree and Henderson, KY.

She studied the Bible every day for over fifty years. Her family of five, faithfully attended church "every time the doors were open". God always came first in everything she did.

She always found time for the other things she enjoyed such as mowing the yard, gardening and canning with her Mother, raising and harvesting chickens with her Daddy, standing beside Otis as he fixed things at the house, making beautiful clothes for family and friends, plus school activities with her children or volunteering for community sponsored activities. Eunice was an active member of the Sebree Eastern Star. Eunice also loved all kinds of crafts. She and Otis became snow birds in 1972 where she continued her church activities in Florida.

Her servant heart was evident by all who knew her. Her life was a witness to her strong faith and commitment to God.

Her grandchildren and great grandchildren will serve as active pallbearers.

Children; Joey Hughes and Joan Hughes Jenkins (Randall).

Grandchildren; Ashley Jenkins Wolfe, Johnathon Hughes (Christian), Jacob Hughes (Chelsia), and Jessie Hughes. Great grandchildren; Jordan, Emmi, Allie, Izabella, Kate, Addison, Layla, Ava and Tori.

Eunice would request Bibles donated to the Gideons. The family request only your prayers.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday September 20th at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be private.

Karen Wilson

Karen Yvonne Epperson Wilson, 72, beloved mother, Nana, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital, surrounded by her loving family who cherished every moment with her.

Karen was born on November 23, 1953, in DeWitt, Arkansas, and later moved with her family to Henderson, Kentucky. She dedicated over 20 years of her life as the administrator of Henderson Manor Nursing Home, where she compassionately cared for countless residents.

Karen had a passion for travel and adventure, often journeying across the United States with her children and grandchildren, collecting pottery along the way. A gifted artist and crafter, she loved to paint, sew, and quilt-there wasn't a craft she hadn't tried. Her hand-crafted Christmas ornaments were treasured gifts by all who received them.

Above all, Karen's greatest joy in life was being a Nana. She created cherished memories during sleepovers, playing dress up, and the tradition of sharing "bedtime chocolate." Her legacy lives on in the strength, love, and stubborn spirit she instilled in her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Wayne and Faye Epperson, and her brother, Billy Wayne Epperson Jr. Karen is survived by her brother Rick (Amy) Epperson; her children, Josh (Samantha) Moore and Amanda Phillips; her grandchildren, Taylor, Addison, and Hailey Moore, Tyler, Molly, and Ella Phillips, and Presley Meadows; her great-grandchild, Maximus Nunn; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, a great-niece, and a great-nephew.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20th, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel, with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 p.m with Bro. Jason Cowan officiating.

The family would love to hear your stories and adventures with Karen. Please share your memories to nanakaren.stories@gmail.com
