In a Veterans Administration hospital uncontrolled study [74], 20 Vietnam veterans with chronic PTS.

All patients showed frequent (eg, two to three times per week) episodes of PTS symptomatology and had been hospitalized for PTS an average of five times. They were treated with 30, 30-minute sessions of alpha/theta neurofeedback training sessions.

Follow-up interviews occurred with the patients and their wives or family members on a monthly basis for 26 months. In that time, only 4 of the 20 patients reported a few (one to three) instances recurrence of nightmares or flashbacks, and the other 16 patients had no recurrence of PTS symptoms.

Holiday Reminder for Your Mental Health ✨🌟✨

The holidays are beautiful…but let’s be honest, they can also stir up a lot of emotions. Family gatherings can bring joy, connection, and laughter…but they can also bring stress, old triggers, and feelings you didn’t expect.

This holiday season, remember:
Your peace of mind matters.🌿

🍁 You’re allowed to set boundaries.

🍁 You’re allowed to take breaks.

🍁 You’re allowed to say “no” without guilt.

🍁 You’re allowed to leave early if you need to.

🍁 You’re allowed to protect your mental and emotional well-being.

Here are a few gentle tools that can help:
• Set a personal time limit for events or visits.

• Stay hydrated and add a sprinkle of sea salt In your water…and avoid alcohol.

• Step outside for fresh air if you start feeling overwhelmed.

• Practice 4-6 breathing to calm the nervous system while holding your heart center for 20 seconds or more.

I love my job.✨
