It’s all in the exhale.🩵

During my client’s Reiki Therapy (and sometimes Neurofeedback sessions) at Optima Wellness Center, I often use positive “I Am” affirmations - with HeartMath meditation techniques - to help calm their activated fight, flight or freeze trauma responses.

It’s a game changer after my client’s well-being assessment.

Unpacking the traumatic events they’ve experienced, requires cauterizing the trauma-energy wound.

Powering up ✨thoughts and feelings✨can begin melting away those old false beliefs, fears and rumminating thoughts…and begins re-wiring the neuroscience of the brain.
Using this self-regulation technique — with hands over the heart, eyes closed, and slowing their breath — the body begins to soften…and the exhale that follows carries more than air…it carries release.

The exhale is the body’s way of saying: “I feel safe. I feel heard. I feel cared for.”

Grounding in this way brings peace to the mind, comfort to the heart, and opens space for healing to take root. 🌿

Getting ready for my Saturday morning meeting with Nina Ten’s Spotlight Senior Services Las Vegas podcast team to discuss how to choose the best hospice and palliative care in the valley…and to bring awareness that patients - by law - can choose (at no cost or by insurance contract) any hospice provider of their choice…whether they are living in a senior assisted living community, memory care, rehabilitation or group home facility or in a hospital setting.

Rhythm of Life Hospice Care is a vetted Optima Wellness Center community partner because they exemplify compassion, dignity and care for their patients 65 years+.

Having served southern Nevada for 15 years, Rhythm of Life Hospice is Joint Commission Accredited and an official partner with our local State Emergency Management Agencies and public safety partners. Their highest standards for end-of-life hospice and palliative care is what truly sets them apart.

As a Reiki Practitioner, I’m often called to help with end of life Reiki so this partnership beautifully dovetails into my heart-centered services…it’s truly a very sacred and special time to help ease anxiety and provide a peaceful calming experience with a loved one…and for the family and friends who are also present in the room during the session.
