I had the pleasure of meeting Helen at an all women’s BJJ camp where I spoke on nutrition for BJJ athletes.

She approached me after the presentation and shared a bit about her weight loss journey up to that point. Starting weight was 242, her current weight (in may) was 190, and her goal weight (so she thought) was 170.

Helen is currently sitting at 148, strength training 5 days per week, competing in jiujitsu, running her business, and showing up as an incredible wife and mom.

Her macros are set at 140P-155C-62F. She is fueled and fearless on the mats🙌🏽

🎉Congrats on our first 6 months together Helen!! The next 6 is going to be focused on strength and continued muscle gain!💪🏽

Everyone seems to “eat healthy” and “prioritze protein..” but when we ask

It’s blank stares

Listen, we get it.

While tracking may feel HARD in the moment, the facts cannot be ignored.

It is truly the best way and most accurate way to gain an understanding on what you’re actually consuming in a day.

To then have the information to manipulate the numbers for the results(weight loss, muscle gain, body re-comp) you’re after.

No it’s not forever.

But long enough so you’re not guessing at something you do 3-5x per day (eating).

ICYMI: FIT LV Fitness & Nutrition is NOW Kristi Vaccaro Wellness Coaching 🌸🖤✨

A rebrand has been on my heart for years now but various people and things kept discouraging my JUMP. I wasn’t ready then but that path forward is crystal clear now.

I linked with a few months back and when I say it was love at first meeting- I KNEW she was my girl.
The time and attention Alex put into getting to know me, my business goals & vision, to crafting the perfect hand drawn logos. She NAILED it.

I am so excited to transition into this deeply authentic version of my coaching, bringing more personal touches, deeper connection, and an elevated experience into the space.

Coach Kristi bringing ALL the travel tips!!

One of the biggest hindrances to progress is TRAVEL.

Whether for vacation or business, traveling sends people over the edge with the inability to adhere to the plan. It’s almost like a light switch is flipped the second a trip begins. Because how could you possibly stay on track? It’s actually pretty easy and here’s how I do it (many, MANY times per year)👇🏼

1- Pack meals: Whether you drive or fly, taking a meal prep for each day will save $, calories, and time. You can still enjoy some eating out without having to rely on it.
FAQ: Can I take meals through TSA? YES. You will have no issue flying with food as long as it is not liquid or gel. I hav packed as many as 20 meal preps in my checked bag and 10 in my carry on!

2- Plan simple movement: Give yourself 30 minutes for intentional movement. I like the 2+2 method on trips because you can do it anywhere. 2 miles(walk or run) + 200 body weight reps(break into 25’s 50’s 100’s for 200x one exercise.
Scaling idea: 20 min jog + 10 min amrap
For me this often looks like 2 miles +200 lunges or 2 miles +50 burpees 50 lunges 50 push ups 50 squats. If I have access to a hotel gym, even better I can follow the dumbbell version of the programming.

3- Order by the “Rule of Three.” When eating out build your meal around a main source of protein(1). Find a grilled option whenever possible + (one ingredient) carb(2)+veggie(3). If you are ordering a fattier cut of meat, you could omit the carb to keep calories balanced and double the veggie. I’ve never been at a restaurant where I couldn’t order this way.

4- Bring alcohol replacements: If you are one that likes to have a drink in hand on the beach or on vacay but are cutting back for health goals, having a bevvy replacement is a must!! Milli has been lifechanging for me. DM me MILLI if you want to try them!

5- Plan activity IN your trip: From walking as many places as possible, to planning in bike rides, hikes, paddle boarding, fishing, etc. Making activities a part of a vacation is a fun way to appreciate what your body can do for you AND stay active.

Excited to share not one but two member spotlights for a couple who joined us back in January for our 8 week challenge and have been crushing it ever since!⚡️

Mary and Jeremy joined our challenge this past January with the following goals:

"Weight loss."
"Summer ready."

I remember when they originally joined, while there WERE goals present, there was also a lot of hesitancy. The apps were new, the exercises were intimidating, the food tracking seemed daunting- it was a lot of change right out the gate.

👉🏽But these two were READY.

👉🏽They were ready for change.

👉🏽They were ready for transformation.

👉🏽They were ready to do it, together.

💥And they did it!💥

84lbs down combined- currently MORE than summer ready, on vacation together as we speak.🏖️

Beyond excited to highlight another incredible one of our FIT LV momma’s transformation. ✨

Meghan joined our coaching program late October at 163lbs with a goal of getting back down to the 130-140 weight range so she could be more healthy and active with her family.

Here’s what she had to say about her first six months with us:

“I am still in shock at the results of the last 6+ months. The first few months were challenging... breaking years of bad habits is HARD! But each week got a little easier! And the support of the FitLV team was amazing!!!

I love that the program helped me see that progress is not always linear, that each week I just need to do my best, and that little choices add up big results!

My favorite part of the program is how the coaches embrace that we are all human. If one week didn't go well, we focused on small goals for the next week. And I could always do something, whether on a
business trip or vacation.
