Board-certified family practitioner Sungwook Steven Kim, MD brings decades of training and experience in family medicine to men, women, and children in the Henderson, Nevada area. At Brighton Family Medicine, Dr. Kim prevents, diagnoses, and treats a host of health and wellness concerns. Born in Seoul, Korea, Dr. Kim moved to South America as a child and eventually relocated to the United States with his family. He spent many years traveling the globe, discovering new places and cultures and brings his keen enthusiasm and passion to Brighton Family Medicine. Dr. Kim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from Boston College. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. He completed residency training in family medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York before relocating to Henderson, Nevada, to be closer to his family. During his residency, Dr. Kim trained extensively in many different medical specialties, allowing him to make connections between symptoms and conditions that specialists may not see.
