Holding different emotions at the same time is something that may not feel natural, however it is perfectly acceptable. Extreme thinking one way or the other works against our well-being. Acknowledging conflicting emotions can bring resolution. Practicing acceptance of both feelings during minor situations may be helpful when bigger circumstances arise. Be easy on yourself. Remember, two things can both be true at the same time.

Acceptance is not a new concept, but can be challenging for some. Acceptance is important because it’s a fundamental component of resilience; how we cope and overcome difficulties or challenges in our lives.

I am not into New Year resolutions, but I love this idea of a family plan. Exercises like this one help develop a growth mindset. Something important for our families and children.

How was your 2020? Raise your hand if it brought challenges, disappointments, and has just been…well, very hard 😔.
