Today was the yearly occurrence of Sheryl’s birthday. A more common occurrence is patients informing me that their doctor gave them different suggestions about where they can go for therapy. They almost always indicate that after calling multiple locations they decided on ours because of how Sheryl spoke with them on the phone. She’s a gem and we are so lucky to have her!

Halloween 2018: Pat as bengal dude (at last we hope that was Pat), Sheryl as “Tickled Pink” (her own creation), and Jeff, well, nobody was able to find him all day. Hint: look by the water cooler. .

"It turned out that patients who saw a physical therapist before trying other treatments had an 89 percent lower probability of eventually needing an opioid prescription, a 28 percent lower probability of having any advanced imaging services, and a 15 percent lower probability of making one or more ER visits."

A study of patients with low back pain finds that those who got physical therapy first needed fewer pricey scans and surgeries and had "significantly lower out-of-pocket costs" for treatment overall.
