Honoring our latest Flower Bud Award recipient at TriStar Hendersonville 🌼

We recognized Breshaun Ewin, a South College Adult Fundamentals student, for being “caught being compassionate.” After noticing a patient who was uncomfortable in their hospital bed, Breshaun took it upon herself to find a simple solution: adding a waffle cushion for comfort. That small act made a big difference, and both the patient and their spouse were incredibly grateful.

When her actions were praised, Breshaun humbly shared that she was “just doing what she felt would help the patient.” That mindset is exactly what Caring Like Family looks like in action.

We are so proud to celebrate this moment and the compassion Breshaun demonstrated👏

Congratulations, Breshaun, and thank you for already making a meaningful impact on our patients and team!

We were proud to celebrate the ribbon cutting of our new EMS Lounge with a cookout and time spent with some of our favorite partners 🚑

This space was designed with our EMS teams in mind — the dedicated professionals who are often the very first point of care in an emergency. Every day, EMS crews respond to calls, provide critical lifesaving treatment in the field and communicate with our ER teams before patients even arrive. Their work truly bridges the gap between the community and the hospital.

Having an EMS lounge within the ER gives these teams a place to recharge, complete documentation and stay close so they can get back out quickly to the next call. It’s a small but meaningful way to support those who give so much of themselves to others.

We are incredibly grateful for our partners at Sumner County EMS and Robertson County EMS. Your commitment, teamwork and compassion do not go unnoticed! We appreciate everything you do for our patients and our community every single day.

At TriStar Hendersonville, caring for our community goes beyond the walls of our hospital 💙

We’re proud to recognize our incredible Quality team, who recently volunteered their time at Hands of Hope Food Pantry in Portland, TN. Their dedication to serving others reflects our deep commitment to being a strong and compassionate community partner.

This spirit of giving is part of something bigger—across HCA Healthcare, colleagues logged nearly 240,000 volunteer hours in 2024 alone. It’s one more way we show that caring for people is at the heart of everything we do.

Thank you to our Quality team for making a difference where it matters most!

🚨 Emergency Response Drill – Friday Morning, March 27 🚨

At TriStar Hendersonville, being prepared is part of keeping our community safe. Friday morning, March 27, we’ll take part in a multi-hospital emergency response drill alongside our sister facilities TriStar Skyline and TriStar Summit, in partnership with local law enforcement and public safety agencies.

What to know:
✅You may notice increased public safety presence around the facility.
✅Patient care will not be disrupted — appointments, surgeries, and regular services will remain on schedule.

These drills help our teams strengthen communication and coordination so we can respond quickly and effectively in an emergency.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Sweet treats for a meaningful cause 🍪💙

Our Birth Center at TriStar Hendersonville hosted a bake sale to support March of Dimes, raising more than $1,000 locally. With matching funds from HCA Healthcare, that brings the total contribution to more than $2,000 for the cause.

March of Dimes is a nonprofit organization committed to helping end preventable maternal health risks and death, preventable preterm birth and infant death, and close the health equity gap for all families.

We’re proud to support the March of Dimes walk every year with a team and fundraising that helps strengthen healthy starts for the communities we serve.

Born at just 24 weeks, twin brothers Jahleel and Justus faced tremendous challenges, including a lengthy NICU stay and a cerebral palsy diagnosis. With the support of TriStar Summit Medical Center's outpatient rehabilitation program, these bright boys are achieving major milestones.

Now three years old, Jahleel and Justus attend occupational, physical and speech therapy twice weekly, and their care team helps them make remarkable strides.

From walking with gait trainers to feeding themselves, each milestone is a reflection of their resilience and of the commitment of their expert care team: Aubrey Poythress, Kayla Murphy and Raynor Murphy.

“They are incredible advocates for my sons,” said Talitha Yarbrough, the twins' mom. “They’re not just doing their jobs — they show a deep love for your kids.” 💙

A little St. Patrick’s Day green 🍀 — and a lot of purpose: prevention and early action.💚

TriStar Skyline and TriStar Hendersonville recently partnered to host a community health fair at Album at Indian Lake, sharing practical information to help neighbors make informed choices about their health.

Topics included:
• Cancer screenings and prevention, including colon cancer screenings in recognition of Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month
• Heart health
• Stroke warning signs
• Sepsis awareness
• Trauma and injury prevention
• Burn prevention

Education like this helps people understand when to get screened, what warning signs to watch for and where to start because acting early can make a real difference.

We’re proud to support our community with resources and education beyond our hospital walls.

Want to take your next step? Talk with your doctor about recommended screenings.

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month — a reminder that screening can help find colorectal cancer early, when treatment options may be more effective. 💙

This week our TriStar Hendersonville colleagues wore blue to help start conversations and raise awareness about the importance of screening. 👕🔵

Screening can find and remove pre-cancerous polyps, and catching cancer early can improve outcomes. Screening is recommended beginning at age 45 for people at average risk, and earlier for some people based on personal and family history.

Take the next step: If you’re 45+ or have a family history, talk with your doctor about which screening option is right for you.

And if you need digestive care close to home, TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center has been recognized by Healthgrades as one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Gastrointestinal Care and America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Gastrointestinal Surgery (2022–2025).⭐️

“Sometimes the bravest leaps aren’t from airplanes. They’re the ones we take toward healing, hope and new beginnings.”

After surviving a devastating house fire that resulted in serious burns, Bruce Hill turned to TriStar Skyline Medical Center for burn care. What began as treatment with burn surgeon Dr. Tommy Tran transformed into an invigorated purpose and a friendship founded in humor and respect.

A recovery advocate, Bruce skydives with a group of survivors to honor those who lost their lives to addiction and to celebrate the freedom found in recovery. Unable to jump himself, Bruce joked with Dr. Tran before surgery, "You'll just have to jump for me this year."

And he did. Dr. Tran kept his promise. Because healing goes far beyond the physical.🪂

For complex cases, TriStar Skyline provides specialized burn care as one of 11 American Burn Association recognized burn centers within our broader HCA Healthcare network.
