The Lord cares for us. He is interested in your life! He wants to know your cares, needs and wants. Of course, He already knows them, but above all, He wants you to tell them to Him!

How amazing to know that the Creator of everything wants a relationship with you and me! To imagine it is overwhelming!

Will you spend some time with the Lord today? Tell Him your troubles, He will hold you up. He will guide you and direct you, even in your darkest times. He will never leave you. The Lord is the only certain thing that you can count on, trust in Him!

There is a great peace that comes in knowing that I don't have to have it all figured out. I don't have to have every answer or have the perfect plan or solution to my problems.

All I have to do is trust Him and He will take care of it better than I could imagine. He has the answers. He has the plan. He has it all figured out. I just need to be patient and obedient to His will and it will always work out for my good.

I mentioned last week that I am starting a new study in the book of James. I'm using Warren Wiersbe's book "Be Mature" as a guide. It is a perfect summer study because the book is 13 chapters which should take me through the end of summer if I do one chaper a week (which I am, with a friend and neighbor).

My daily Bible has lots of notes and highlights, but when I choose to begin a new study I like to use a blank and unmanrked Bible so that I can get something new from God and not rely on old notes. (Just how I like to do things.)

James is the perfect book for those enduring a trial or walking through grief (welcome to my last year...)

James gives us a formula for enduring to the end and obtaining wisdom and maturitiy in the end. Why not? The Lord tells us that we WILL go through trials, so why not get wisdom and give God glory in the process? (I know, easy to say, hard to do...that's why I'm reading James :)
