located in the heart of the city by the lake ( aka Hendersonville), this long term care residence offers the ideal home environment for our
beloved seniors.
Nestled in between lakeside views and condominium living, our atmosphere offers serenity, peace and quiet , comfort and safety of a second home away from home. Like more of a sanctuary for our residents and visitors.
Our biggest difference from other businesses & competitors is a better "one on one" quality care ratio provided to our residents.
Maximum capacity is eleven at the most.
We also personalize our care in helping maximize each individual's capabilities and provide assistance necessary with the activities of daily living.
We have on site Physician and Nurse Practitioner available to help with medical management and treatment of our residents.
Blue Skies House call has
Dr. Bruce Wallstedt and his staff as available on call (Monday through Friday) if needed to assess, treat or transfer to higher level of care depending on our resident's condition. The perks of having this service include our residents not having to go to the physician's clinic anymore. The nurse practitioner comes and sees them as scheduled and as needed. Portable chest x-ray, routine blood draws, ultrasound, ekg's are mostly done at the facility. Results are faxed to Blue Skies and followed up as necessary.
Home healthcare is easily accessible and available as resident's need arise. This service is covered by most Insurance/Medicare which includes but is not limited to home health nurse, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, to name a few.
Our facility offers the resident's favorite meals three times daily.
They have an option of asking for what they like to eat if in case they don't feel like eating what is on the menu. Most of our seniors enjoy eating simple food. If they like cereals for supper or ice cream for breakfast, why not? As long as they are getting their nutrition is what counts at this point. The goal is achieved to give them enough nourishment and fluids and the right medication for the day. And our residents are contented, happier and healthier!
Our ultimate goal while helping and encouraging our seniors to make it through today only, is to equally enjoy their company and listen to their life experiences & words of wisdom. They still have a purpose
and a lesson to share with us, even those with advanced dementia. Utmost respect and the best care possible we deliver to them daily. Because without their hard work in the past, we all won't be here where we are at now.
