🏈 Friday Night Lights, Community Shines Bright 💙

AdventHealth had a great time getting ready for some football with the North Buncombe High School students and fans last Friday. We sponsored the fun of the Pre-Game Rally celebrating the incredible spirit of the students, athletes and educators who make this community shine. We were especially proud to help recognize the Teachers of the Year with heartfelt gifts, because caring for those who care for others is at the core of who we are.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our tent to talk about the new hospital we are building just down the road from the school. We are so excited to be moving closer to fulfilling this promise of whole-person care close to home.

We’ll be back under the lights on October 3 for the big game: Mountain Heritage High vs. Madison High in Marshall. Come say hello and share in the fun. We’re here for the wins, the wellness and the moments that matter.

We are celebrating Amy Buchanan, RN, for embodying the spirit of service and teamwork that defines AdventHealth. On a particularly challenging Monday, she owned it by stepping into multiple roles with grace and compassion, all to ensure our patients and team members were cared for. Even as her own shift ended, Amy stayed to relieve others and keep the operating room running smoothly. “This isn’t a one-time moment — it’s what Amy does every day,” shares team member Sara Toney. “She sets the standard for service excellence, and we’re grateful to work alongside her.”

Our Care Crew was on hand with a special Cooling Tent, offering moms and babies a shaded space to rest, recharge, and reconnect. It was a simple but meaningful way to extend our mission of whole-person care — body, mind and spirit — beyond our walls and into the heart of our community.
