This workshop offers a relaxing and engaging art therapy experience focused on mindfulness and simple mark-making. Using watercolors and basic drawing materials as tools for relaxation, participants will be guided through a series of creative mark-making exercises and grounding techniques, followed by a longer, meditative mandala painting session. The painting sessions will incorporate the basic principles of mindfulness, like non-judgement, patience, and acceptance, to help you stay present and at ease.

Healing is often portrayed as a solitary journey, but my practice is rooted in the belief that community-care is just as vital as self-care. While individual therapy offers deep personal insight, there is a unique, transformative power in collective creative expression that allows us to experience a sense of pleasure and belonging alongside others. Whether we are navigating the unknowns of the human experience or using art as a form of resistance against systemic stressors, doing so in a shared space reminds us that we are not alone in our bravery. By moving beyond the traditional counseling couch and into collaborative workshops and groups, we create a ripple effect of wellness that strengthens the entire community.

Ready to create in community? Join me for my upcoming workshops in Hendersonville, where we will use creative expression to navigate these times together.
