A client said this to me recently:

“Before working with you, my voice was silent and I didn’t even realize it. I thought I was living in a healthy, loving way… but I was just going through the motions. Letting life happen to me. Allowing things that weren’t truly me. I kept attracting the wrong people and situations because I was living externally — disconnected from myself. Now I am grounded. Aware. Safe inside myself. I’m not living on the outside anymore.”

This is why I talk so much about roots.

When your roots are shallow, you live externally. Performing, pleasing, reacting. You don’t even realize your own voice has gone quiet.

But when your roots go deep into your story, your nervous system, your identity… everything changes.
