S’mores! 🍫 It was a chilly day and we thought it would be nice to warm up to a sweet treat! Who doesn’t like graham crackers, milk chocolate, and marshmallows! 🍫 The residents enjoyed eating these scrumptious treats! Thank you Patsy and Sherry for helping us with our event!

“Apple and Pumpkin Pie Making”! 🥧
Our residents were back in the kitchen again making up some scrumptious homemade apple and pumpkin pies! They all did a great job helping preparing and baking the pies! The best part was enjoying the final product! We had to have some ice cream on top of it of course! 🥧🥧🍨

“Chili and Cornbread Cook-off” 🌶️
All our departments participated in the cook-off today and residents were the judges! The cornbread recipes were turned in by residents and they brought their family recipes for good ole country cornbread! 🍞 The winner for the chili and cornbread cook-off received a gift basket! A special honor goes to the winner of the cornbread cook-off. Their cornbread will be the main cornbread made in the dining room for the next year! The winner of the cornbread cook-off is Margaret! She made her “Margaret’s Country Cornbread”! The staff award for the best chili was Chef Alli Kelly from our culinary department! Great job ladies! We are so proud of you!

🎙️🎶 “Stacy Snyder” blessed us with her beautiful voice yesterday as she played some fan favorites for our residents! Stacy has been singing since 2 years old and performed on shows like Nashville Now and Hee Haw. She also sings in French, Italian, and Spanish! She is so talented we are going to ask her back real soon! We had a packed house and the residents really loved her! The interactive part of the show is when residents got to pick a song from the list she hands out. They could pick anything from the list! They loved that! 🎶🎙️🎤

🎃🍫 “Halloween Candy Tasting”! 🎃
We gave residents a plate of different Halloween candy treats and asked them which one they would rather eat! We started with the Jelly Belly Pumpkin Pie and Apple Cider Mix candy! Needless to say the pumpkin pie one needs more work! They didn’t like that one too much! The Apple Cuder Mix was very tasty to everyone and it reminded them of the real thing! When it came into the candy bars, everyone had a different favorite! 🍫 Some liked the dark chocolate while others like milk chocolate as their number one pick! The good news is…we enjoyed some candy together and had a great conversation about it! 😊🍫🍬
