Today at Forest Lawn Cemetery, the Henderson County Sheriff's Office, Hendersonville North Carolina honored the lives and sacrifices of three fallen Henderson County law enforcement officers during a solemn memorial service.

Kristie has worked in the funeral service industry for six years. She joined Forest Lawn part-time in September 2020 and quickly moved into a full-time role as office manager. She is a West Henderson High School graduate and attended BRCC with certifications in CNA I, CNA II, and an Early Childhood Development degree. One of the most personalized ways of memorializing a loved one is to tell their story, their personality, achievements, and hobbies with a glass front niche. An indoor glass front niche is a series of enclosed units where an urn is displayed alongside photographs and other small items.
Framed photos, awards, toys, articles, handiwork as well as more traditional flower and flag displays are quite common and are a very personalized and meaningful way to remember a loved one. Since these niches are inside a climate-controlled facility, visitation is easy and convenient regardless of the weather outside.

National Nurses Week honors the incredible contributions and sacrifices of nurses and it reminds us to thank the medical professionals who keep all of us healthy. It is celebrated between May 6, National Nurses Day, and May 12, the birthdate of celebrated nurse Florence Nightingale.

We are grateful to the nurses in our community for all that they do for their patients.
