National Barbie Day celebrates an iconic toy that premiered on March 9, 1959. 🩷 Happy Birthday to Barbie from the crew here at Life Care Center of Hendersonville! 🎀 Our staff enjoyed dressing up in pink as their own renditions of Barbie. The residents laughed and enjoyed all the fun, too. It was fun to see everyone in their unique style of Barbie, and it brought back a lot of good memories. 😊

🎥 On Tuesday afternoon, several of our residents enjoyed a special treat: watching "EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert" at the Epic Theatres of Hendersonville. They had a great time sharing their memories of listening to and watching Elvis. 🕺

Jim was having trouble with pain and range of motion after rotator cuff surgery, so he was referred to our outpatient physical therapy. 🤝

Over the course of 12 weeks, he completed a physical therapy program with us, and now has improved range of motion, joint stability, shoulder flexion, and posture, which has allowed him to return to working outdoors on his property! 🌳

"I cannot tell you how much respect for and confidence I have in Dr. Mang," said Jim. "My surgeon's office loves what they see, and I am thrilled to be back outdoors doing work again."

Congratulations on your hard work and success, Jim! We have loved working with you and wish you all the best. ❤️

We love our evening events with Boys & Girls Club of Henderson County! 😊

We had a visit on Wednesday from the teenagers in the club to play games. One table was Uno, the other was dominoes, and the last was Jenga. There were a lot of smiles and laughs through the games and of course a positive, healthy competition. They all ended up being winners. 🏆 The residents' eyes always light up when they come to visit with us. Thank you for spending your time with us! 💚

🎵 Our Life Care Center of Hendersonville Chorus went out on Friday on a tour at The Laurels of Green Tree Ridge in Asheville, NC. Thank you to The Laurels for allowing to come in and sing for you all. All the residents are always so excited to be going to other facilities to share their Chorus with them. 🎤

Miss Lucy stated, "It makes me feel good to see everyone smile and sing along with us." 🙂

We are looking forward to next month when we go out to Carolina Reserve of Hendersonville!

🩷 Care doesn't always make headlines, but it makes lives better.

Today, National Caregivers Day, we recognize all types of caregivers 🫶: our associates who bring compassion and professionalism to their interactions with our residents; family members who lovingly care for their loved ones; and other professionals in the healthcare industry who take care of those who cannot take care of themselves.

Together, we bring more than just "services." We bring love, comfort, and the dignity every person deserves. ☺️

We celebrated Valentine's Day with a Queen & King of Hearts Party. ♥️

👑 Dorothy (Dot) and Joseph (Joe) won the crowns this year. The amazing Life Care Chorus sang us the best music for the party. 🎵 Family, friends and staff had a great time with amazing food. Thank you to the Dietary department (Vanessa). The residents and family members were laughing about the good ole days when the residents went to school and how they would vote for Queen & King at the senior proms. It was a joyful event!
