Our residents, families and associates are still celebrating the New Year! 🎉 We are all excited to see what 2026 has for us all. We made a lot of New Year's resolutions. Some of us made a resolution to travel more, lose weight, and that 2026 will be the best year we have ever had. 😁

🌟 Since 2019, Dorothy Jeffery, Activity Director, had a goal and dream for the residents at Life Care to have a choir and to take them to other facilities to sing. 🎵

On Friday, Dec. 19, that dream came true! 😄 The residents went over to our sister building (The Bridge Assisted Living at Lake Pointe Landing) and had a concert they had all practiced for. The residents were nervous and excited at the same time. The residents at The Bridge thanked them and expressed how good they all were.

🥹 Lucy Ashbrook (a long-term resident) had tears in her eyes saying, "We finally did it."

Dorothy Jeffery thanked them all for taking part in the group and coming out as well as thanking Chuck Shelf for all the dedication and patience that he has put into the choir. Chuck Shelf and Charlie Garner made little jingle bells to bring along for the song "Jingle Bells." 🔔 It was an amazing adventure, and we all are looking forward to more just like them in 2026!

🎄Five young adults from the West Henderson High School band 🎷📯 came in to visit and play Christmas music for our residents. The residents loved them! One resident thanked the young students and told them that they have made her Christmas this year! ❤️

Life Care of Hendersonville is bringing in Thanksgiving with our very own Macy's Parade! 🦃 The residents pulled around all the floats, while other residents and associates enjoyed watching the parade.

It was amazing watching everyone smile and having a good time to bring in Thanksgiving. 😀 Miss Rita said she has never been able to watch a parade that close up and she thinks it was amazing. Miss Mary said, "I am proud to be a part of the parade. It feels good to see others smile and laugh."

And for a little bit of more fun, we all had a dance after the parade. 😉
