Red Cedar Glen was so proud to present Daniel Stephens, director of Feed Sumner, a check for $562.00! This was possible because of our partners and vendors who donated wreaths that were sold at the silent auction. A huge “Thank You” to all who contributed and to all who purchased these! This money means many families can pay bills instead of spending money on groceries!

Residents at Red Cedar Glen rung in 2026 ( a few hours early) this afternoon! Horns, hats, and hors d’oeuvres were all a part of the celebration! And Brian Hanson brought the house down with his music and great voice! What a wonderful way to kick off the New Year!

Drumroll please!!!!! Announcing the winners of the Christmas door decorating contest at Red Cedar Glen! For independent living- 1st place is Patty Belt with her gingerbread door. 2nd place to Dean Smith with an old fashioned Christmas. And 3rd place to Danny Kizer for his Grinch door!! Second Hand Christmas is another favorite activity during Christmas at Red Cedar Glen! Residents wrap a Christmas item they no longer want, and bring it to the game! Then the gifts are numbered and residents draw the corresponding numbers! It is always fun to see who gets what from each other. It is a great time of laughter, smiles, and Christmas cheer!

In all of our annual Christmas activities at Red Cedar Glen, today was one of the favorites! Behold the Saran wrapped ball filled with gifts and treats! This ball is passed person to person who are wearing oven mitts while they try to unwrap the ball to get to the surprises! The person to the left is rolling a large pair of dice and when they get doubles of any number, they pass the dice to the next person and then they get a chance to unwrap the ball! This game brings out the laughs in everyone!! It is great fun!
