The HPFFA is Local 2645 of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF). The IAFF is the driving force behind nearly every advance in the fire and emergency services in the 21st century. With headquarters in Washington, DC, and Ottawa, Ontario, the IAFF represents more than 300,000 full-time professional fire fighters and paramedics in more than 3,100 affiliates. IAFF members protect more than 85 percent of the population in communities throughout the United States and Canada. The IAFF is also one of the most active lobbying organizations in Washington, DC. Sunday truck pic. From Henderson County, here's a newly found factory photo of City of Hendersonville Fire Department, NC's 1948 American LaFrance 700 Series quad, 750/[150?], model 775-QJO, reg -3451, shipped April 27, 1948. One of a number of "true quads" that served in our state, and some of which we have previously misidentified. There were also service trucks with lower-capacity booster pumps and tanks.
