The Dream Team is back - Join Sara Etheredge, DPT & Jacqueline Theis, OD at the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission Conference on October 28!

We’ll be presenting on Visual Work Hardening — a structured, progressive rehabilitation program designed for patients whose visual, vestibular, cervical, and sensory integration symptoms are interfering with their ability to return to work.

This approach focuses on restoring both visual endurance and functional tolerance through:
• Visual-vestibular retraining
• Cervical & postural rehab
• Oculomotor & sensorimotor integration
• Work simulation & graded task exposure

We’re looking forward to sharing how this innovative, interdisciplinary model can help patients safely and successfully re-enter the workplace.

Myth Busting Monday!
Myth: "You need to rest in a dark room until all your concussion symptoms go away."

Truth: While brief relative rest is important in the first 24–48 hours, prolonged rest can actually slow recovery. Gradual return to light activity is more effective in promoting healing and reducing your risk for persistent symptoms.

✅ Movement matters
✅ Brain + body rehab works
✅ Recovery is possible
