The International Guild of Auditory Processing Specialists announces an upcoming workshop designed specifically for Speech Pathologists and Audiologists, with details and brochure available for download on our website at www.igaps.org. The International Guild of Auditory Processing Specialists (IGAPS) is organizing its 2025 Auditory Processing Disorders~Simple and Effective: Assessment and Intervention (Buffalo Model Approach) from May 1-3, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia. This workshop is designed to equip you with the expertise to efficiently assess and treat auditory processing disorders, enabling you to apply your knowledge effectively. This year's event also features specialized breakout sessions for speech-language pathologists. We invite you to join us for three productive days of collaboration and networking.

Auditory Processing is what we do with what we hear.It is not something you can measure with a simple hearing test. Rather, it is the efficiency with which individuals are able to manage the more complex auditory information that they hear.

Today, history rightfully looks back on the Wright brothers’
first powered flight as a momentous breakthrough, but for years, it was met with a collective shrug. The Wrights’ attempts to alert the press were ignored

Amos Root, a local beekeeper who wrote for his very own beekeeping magazine, saw a few of the flights and offered the news to Scientific American, now the oldest continuously published magazine in the U.S. He was turned down.

It’s wise to be skeptical of sudden breakthroughs, but in reality, powered flight was anything but. The oft-reported failures that primed the public to disbelief bordering on denialism helped diligent inventors like the Wright brothers arrive at a design that actually worked. It makes you wonder: What other invention that seems impossible today could be just over the horizon?
