It's been a nutty couple of weeks huh? A lack of routine often leads to overwhelm for our bodies. Humans thrive on predictable, patterned rhythms. When we have days off for holidays and extra activities, surprise snow days and last minute changes in plans - we FEEL that deeply. For our kids that may look more like defiance and anger or withdrawal and shutdown. As adults, we can help by working to keep routines where and how we can - to signal safety to our bodies - and help soothe stressed nervous systems. Take a deep breath - you can do this!
