I was in your first aid and CPR course a few weeks ago. This morning, I witnessed someone experiencing a medical emergency in the parking lot of what happened to be my internship clinic. I remembered what you said about making sure the scene is safe before doing anything. This guy was tall and muscular and looked to be very intoxicated, but he was not in good shape. I, being a small 5’0 woman, was not going to risk myself if he happened to get belligerent.
I ran inside my clinic and got medical staff to help. And things turned out alright.
But I wanted to thank you because if I had not been in your course, I would have been dumb and interacted with him without keeping my own safety in mind.
So I will definitely be telling everyone I know to 1. Make sure the scene is safe before approaching and 2. Take your class!!!

The very next day after Torri'ell Norwood got her CPR certification, the teen saved a friend after they were involved in a car accident.

The American Heart Association released the 2020 Guidelines last week. Here's my #1 takeaway...

There is a 25% increase in cardiac arrest survival when CPR is performed with audio feedback. That means I count, you sing and we nail it!
