Virginia Recovery Foundation

Virginia Recovery Foundation Non-Profit Foundation established to address the epidemic of opioid addiction by bringing treatment, services & support to families in crisis.

The Virginia Recovery Foundation is a non-profit 501(c) established in response to the crisis of opioid addiction facing the Commonwealth of Virginia. VRF's mission is two-fold: to provide access to treatment for diseased individuals by bridging the insurance gap and bringing services directly to those in crisis, and to reduce the instances of fatal overdose through community education. The Virginia Recovery Foundation was founded y Michael Zohab, a 23- year veteran with the City of Richmond Police Department. VRF seeks to provide early intervention to those in need by coordinating treatment and services through first responders and local agencies available to provide immediate and long-term patient care. The VRF is governed by a Board of Directors who oversee partnerships and funding. It is the goal of VRF that through educational programs aimed at middle & high school students and their families we will spread awareness of the opioid epidemic that has impacted every corner of our community and over time lower the statistics of fatal overdose.
