Nothing screams summer like a good old-fashioned cookout! We kicked up our feet and soaked in the sun for a relaxing afternoon in our beautiful courtyard. Our fantastic team members grilled and served hot dogs, macaroni salad, and fresh sliced watermelon while we enjoyed conversation, and plenty of laughs with our friends and neighbors.

We made some new woolly friends at this week's outing to Lazy Acre Alpaca Farm! What a joy it was to interact with these sweet and sassy creatures. We hope to visit them again soon!

It was a day well spent, as we strolled the beautiful grounds of Sonnenberg Gardens. The historic mansion was gorgeous and interesting to explore, and the weather was just perfect to allow us to enjoy all that this State Historic Park has to offer!

What a wonderful afternoon lunch! We enjoyed a delicious meal at Fire Crust Pizza, where we were each able to create a pizza exactly to our liking, from an almost endless list of options. Some of us ordered pizzas that reminded us of childhood, such as one resident who grew up with a parmesan cheese base instead of the traditional mozzarella, while some of us opted for more modern toppings like mac & cheese! We enjoyed seeing what others ordered, and just like each of us, not one pizza was exactly alike, but each was unique and wonderful in its own way.
