Dr. Tahir received his Medical Degree from the prestigious Faculty
of Medicine at Cairo University in Cairo, Egypt. Then he completed
post-graduate studies in Pediatrics as well as Obstetrics and
Gynecology from one of Ireland's top Universities: National
University and Dublin University in Dublin. Upon completion of his
post graduate examinations, Dr. Tahir completed Clinical Internship
and Residency in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine at Brookdale
Hospital as well as Brooklyn Hospital through State University of
New York at Downstate. Dr. Tahir was honored for achieving the
highest scores in the Pediatrics and Internal Medicine Programs; receiving recognition from both
Alan Bernstein, M.D., Chairman Department of Pediatrics, Brooklyn Hospital and from Alan F. Dr. Tahir also completed his educational experience at Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital and has
had more then 35 years of experience in practicing Clinical Medicine. He is a member of the American
Medical Association (AMA) and as well as member of American College of Physicians (ACP). After meeting with Integrative Medicine Guru, Dr Andew Weil, Dr.Tahir began to pursue the practice of
Holistic Integrative Medicine and he was able to cure his own arthritis, high cholesterol and obesity
using this approach seeing cholesterol levels dropping from 350 to 150, and was able to take himself off
Lipitor Medication for cholesterol. In addition he lost 20 pounds and his pain in his back and knees was also
gone. Dr.Tahir learned the principles of Functional Medicine from Mark Hyman MD and Mind Body Spiritual
healing from Deepak Chopra MD. Interestingly Dr Tahir was able to help his daughter with his holistic
approach who was bed ridden after a mysterious disease and all her all tests were negative and many
specialists could not find the cause. Using the same approach with his patients he started seeing significant successes. These successes
encouraged Dr. Tahir to learn and use a holistic approach extensively. Dr. Tahir completed his training in
Homeopathic Medicine at the Center for Education and Development of Clinical
Homeopathy. He also received licensing from New York State to perform Therapeutic Massage after
completing hand on training in Swedish, Oncology, Sport and Pregnancy and Medical Massage
Reflexology, Acupressure and Shiatsu. Dr. Tahir is also certified in Clinical Hypnotherapy. Dr. Tahir is happily married forthe last 34 years and has 5 children and two lovely cats ( Zazu and Gabi)
