While driving with my son and talking about how he wants a horse and 5 cows, he pointed something out:

Luke: Dad did you see that huge combine harvester?
Me: I think so
L: the one that had none attachments? Isn't that weird?
M: I guess so. Do you wanna be a farmer when you grow up buddy?
L: Yeah! But I dont think you should be! 😄

Me and Rachel have farming roots in our family, but it was never for us. But that doesnt mean we dont have tons of love and respect for those who do. So be sure to thank a farmer next time you see one (and encourage the possible next generation of them)

✨ Congratulations to our January Business of the Month - Sweeney Payton Mortuary! They will host the sandwich board at their home office for the month of January. Stay tuned next month for February's Business of the Month!

🏫 Joshua Payton and Rachel Lynette Payton and their kids have been in Heppner for a year and have continued to serve the families of their new community with love and care, just as the previous owners did. They not only offer a critical and important service, they are extremely supportive of Heppner and surrounding communities, whether it's eating at one of the many food establishments, supporting local fundraisers, or attending the many events. Rural eastern Oregon is lucky to have dedicated business owners, like the Paytons, taking care of families in their time of need.
