What a great day with Castro County Nursing & Rehabilitation , the residents and Activities Director were so precious to welcome staff from Samaritan Hospice in Hereford Texas, with handmade Valentine's Gifts. This was the most precious Valentine ever. We also enjoyed getting to take photos and meet the New Administrator Taylor Wallace. Thank you for always having a smile on your face and open arms. And the giant Chocolate Bar was hard to resist. ❤️

The Swing Bed Program at Hereford Regional Medical Center serves as an exemplary transitional care model, facilitating patient recovery in a familiar hospital setting following severe illness or surgery, there by eliminating the need for transfer to a different facility. This short-term rehabilitation program, encompassing services such as physical therapy, intravenous therapy, provides continuity of care with consistent staff and proximity to family for patients not yet ready for discharge. Notably, Samaritan Hospice of Hereford Texas, donated an Activity Cart to enhance patient experience, which offers distraction, comfort, and mental stimulation through engaging activities and items, thereby reducing anxiety, boredom during their stay.
