The concept of a modern funeral home in the United States began in the late 19th century. Before that, families often cared for their loved ones at home. As embalming became more common during the Civil War, specialized funeral services grew to provide care, comfort, and dignity for families.🕊️
📖 Today, funeral homes are not just places for services, they’re centers of support, offering grief resources, planning guidance, and personalized ways to honor a life.
At Sherman Funeral Home & Crematory, we’re honored to continue this tradition with compassion and care. We’re always here when needed most, offering guidance & support. 💓
After a death, grieving family members often face numerous questions, which can be overwhelming if they are unsure of the answers. However, you can help alleviate this burden by outlining your funeral and estate wishes in advance. What are some of these questions, and how can you address them beforehand?
Advanced preparation, such as prearranging your funeral and gathering estate planning documents, can ease the burden left on our loved ones during this difficult time. At Sherman Funeral Home & Crematory, we strive to make prearranging as simple and comfortable as possible, acknowledging that it can be a challenging process.🕊️
After a death, a grieving family will have to answer a ton of questions. What are they, and can you answer them ahead of time?
