The Arc of Mercer County provides quality, comprehensive services that ensure people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder are empowered in all aspects of life. We are a 501(c)3, tax exempt, non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors that is elected by a membership of family members, friends, and supporters. We are a chapter of The Arc of Pennsy
lvania and The Arc of the United State, the nation's largest volunteer-based organization devoted to issues affecting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a member of these organizations, we work on state and local levels to:
promote the full range of human and civil rights for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism
make the public aware of the needs and potential of individuals with disabilities
promote better residential services
develop employment opportunities for people with disabilities
educate the public about the causes and prevention of intellectual and developmental disabilities
provide services not available from public and other private agencies.
