TKMON (Tiger Kittens Men of Note) from Sharon High School, led by Director Frank McCauley, visited the MCAR Day Program to perform a lively and heartwarming Christmas show. Our individuals enjoyed festive singing and dancing that truly lifted our Holiday spirit. We joined in by singing and dancing along with the talented students. At the end of the performance, the students took time to personally interact with our individuals—sharing smiles, hugs, high fives, and warm conversation. Their kindness and energy made the day extra special. Thank you, TKMON, for bringing joy to MCAR!

MCAR Field Trip Fun at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium!
On December 9, 2025, individuals from MCAR Day Program and MCAR Residential had the amazing opportunity to visit the Greater Cleveland Aquarium for a memorable field trip. We were thrilled to have more than 120 individuals and staff join us—and what a fantastic turnout it was!
A special thank you goes to Meals on Wheels of the Shenango Valley for generously providing delicious, bagged lunches for everyone. We truly appreciate their support in helping us fuel a full day of adventure.
Our groups were able to explore the aquarium at their own pace, creating a relaxing and enjoyable experience for all. For many of the individuals we support, this was their very first time visiting an aquarium—an exciting chance to discover new sights, learn about marine life, and connect with the world in a different way. Experiences like this give our individuals the opportunity to engage in the community, build independence, and enjoy meaningful moments that they might not otherwise have access to.
It was a wonderful outing filled with smiles, laughter, and unforgettable memories. We look forward to more opportunities like this that continue to bring joy, inclusion, and adventure to the lives of those we serve! 🐠🌊✨

Spreading Holiday Cheer at Buhl Park!
Today, MCAR staff member Shannon, along with individuals Jay, Javi, and Neil, braved the chilly but sunny weather to volunteer their time at one of their favorite places — Buhl Park!
It’s that special time of year again when the park begins transforming into a winter wonderland, filled with beautifully displayed Christmas decorations and lights. Our crew was delighted to lend a hand by fluffing the green garland that adorns the outside of the Casino.
We’re so excited to see the park’s festive display come to life and are waiting patiently for the grand reveal of all the decorations and lights!

🎃 MCAR Day Program’s Spooktacular Halloween Bash! 👻
MCAR Day Program hosted another Spooktacular Halloween Party this year — and what a frightfully fun time it was! Everyone came out ready to boogie down in their best costumes.

Everyone looked fang-tastic! The day was filled with great snacks, treat bags, karaoke, an incredible DJ, and nonstop dancing. It was the perfect way to celebrate Halloween with all of our amazing friends!

Robert (“Bob”) and Adrian have been fully embracing the spooky season!
Throughout October, they’ve enjoyed visiting several haunted houses and seasonal attractions. Most recently, on Saturday, October 25th, they had a great time attending Fright Night at Kennywood Amusement Park.

Day Program Director Kamala Sham and Program Specialist Ashley Clepper were invited to attend Watson’s Transition Fair, where they had the opportunity to share information about the wide range of services that MCAR, Inc. provides. This event allowed them to connect with new families and discuss the supports available as students prepare to transition from high school to adulthood. It was a valuable opportunity to promote MCAR’s mission and highlight the meaningful programs that empower individuals to lead fulfilling, independent lives.
