Parents in Beach Cities: look at this new survey data just released. I’m part of the Youth Coalition with BCHD. Good news: all data on youth mental health struggles and substance use rates have greatly improved since 2021/2022 during COVID. Pandemic was horrible for kids. Bad news: alcohol use in the Beach Cities is alarming. Our rates of underage drinking are higher than LA County and CA averages. Adult alcohol use is 67% higher than the US average. This is alarming and we need to take a look at this as a community ❤️
