Our pharmacist/technician dynamic duo , Bailey and Emily, attended Hernando Parks Young at Heart Senior Fun Day at the Gale center on Wednesday of this week. They took lots of blood pressures, enjoyed visiting with many of our wonderful seniors and just had an all around wonderful time! We appreciate being able to be a part of such a fun, special day devoted to our senior community.

Support House Bill 1119 and Senate Bill 2677

Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) are middlemen hired by insurance companies to manage drug payments. Instead of lowering costs, they maximize profits at the expense of pharmacies and patients. They decide how much pharmacies get paid for medications, and often, that amount is less than what we paid to stock the medication in the first place. That means every time we fill a prescription, we’re losing money. It’s an unsustainable system that’s forcing local pharmacies to shut down, limiting patient access to care.

That’s why Mississippi House Bill 1119 and Senate Bill 2677 are so important. These bills will hold PBMs accountable, ensure fair reimbursement for pharmacies, and help us keep our doors open so we can continue serving our communities.

Here’s how you can help:
Call or email your Mississippi legislators today and tell them to support HB 1119 and SB 2677 so the bills can get out of the committees, and onto the floors to be passed.

ATTN: Desoto County friends and patients: Independent pharmacies across Mississippi need your support. Two critical bills—House Bill 1119 and Senate Bill 2677—are currently in committee, and we need your help to ensure they move forward and get passed. These bills are essential to protecting local independent pharmacies and maintaining patient access to care.
