First time parents.
Homebirth.
Christmas time. WOW!
There are a ton of things I could say about these two, but I’ll spare most of the sappy stuff. You know when you meet someone and you just think “yea I want to know them forever” ?
This mama was incredibly diligent and passionate. She prepped her body and mind beautifully. Her husband and fur babies were there with unwavering support. The bond these two have is that of a romance movie. Their dads were best friends back in the day and I totally got to witness the full circle moment! Baby girl was covered in birthday frosting (vernix 😍) and a head full of hair. Absolute perfection. I love getting updated pictures of her and look forward to seeing the adventures they will share. Her 2026 itinerary is already filled with lots of adventures to come! Much love to the Johnson’s party of 3!

What an honor to witness a birth rooted in patience, love, and unwavering hope.

Just your friendly neighborhood reminder that YES, I encapsulate ✨PLACENTAS✨

Yep. That magical organ that grew a whole human. Don’t toss it like last week’s leftovers-let it keep serving you!

A couple fun facts for your curious brain:
🌱 The placenta is the only temporary organ the body grows like a one-time-use superhero cape for your baby.
🌕 Many people report increased energy, mood support, and smoother postpartum recovery from placenta encapsulation. (Your body made it, might as well use it!)

So if you’re birthing a baby soon and want to keep that placenta power going, you know who to call. 😉

Random thoughts because I like sharing more of WHO I am. I always sit and create birth plans with my clients which I have always felt is very important. It gives us time to get to know each other by talking about our hard yes’s and no’s- our standards for ourselves and our babies.

A reel popped up for me today and it was a doula talking about how sometimes leaning into a solid birth plan can be a form of control which is coming from fear. Hard to type how that made me feel, but I’m wondering how that makes you feel?

Maybe aside from the medical system and having to make birth plans priorities in order to be protected- are we better off going into birth as a surrender to begin with?

Sometimes I’m wondering If we are missing the point in birth. Yes it’s a marathon and yes we need to “train” and prepare our bodies, but what if we just lean? Does that makes sense? I dont know, just very thought provoking for me.

Every birth shapes me into something new. Such a wild ride! Would love to hear some thoughts!

Postpartum home visits are my absolute favorite!
There’s something incredibly special about sitting with a family in the quiet after birth…holding their baby, listening to their story, and gently unpacking all that brought them to this moment.
We talked about birth, but we also got to dream about the kind of parents we hope to become. It’s real. It’s raw. It’s wholesome.
This work is a deep honor.
I can’t wait to watch this little Sylvie grow! She’s got some great parents looking out for her.
