Scarring after breast reconstruction depends on the type of mastectomy performed and the reconstruction method chosen. 💗

▫️ Nipple-Sparing Mastectomy
Preserves the natural ni**le, with scars typically hidden underneath the breast. Patients may choose either implant-based or tissue-based reconstruction.

▫️ Standard Mastectomy
When the ni**le cannot be preserved, a straight-line scar across the chest wall is more common. Tissue-based reconstruction can recreate both the breast and ni**le, while implant-based reconstruction restores the breast mound and may use ni**le tattooing for a natural appearance.

Every reconstruction journey is unique, and the best approach is always tailored to the individual patient.
