Tooth sensitivity is often immediately associated with cavities.
But that’s only one possibility.
Sensitivity can also come from:
• Exposed root surfaces• Gum recession• Enamel wear• Microfractures• Bite pressure from clenching.
Each of these has a different cause.
And more importantly — a different solution.
Treating sensitivity without understanding its source is like treating symptoms without diagnosing the condition.
Cold sensitivity that fades quickly is very different from sharp pain when biting.
Both matter.
But they mean different things.
We’d love to know:
Have you experienced sensitivity that seemed to come and go without a clear reason?
