AWOL & Calamity: Chaos Coordinated, Vegas Edition

Today’s saga? A full feature film.
✅ Burn + Vegas packing speedrun
✅ Passport hide-and-seek
✅ Wrong train station plot twist
✅ Gate changes, snack-based problem-solving, and nervous system gymnastics

But we made it. We’re here. We’re safe, horizontal, and spiritually pre-gaming for what might just be the most iconic Vegas moment of my life:

And here’s the kicker — this isn’t just pop nostalgia. It’s personal. The Backstreet Boys were the first concert I ever went to solo, wayyy back in the day at DAR Constitution Hall (yes, that tiny venue). I was just a baby Calamity then — sparkles on the inside, learning how to be loud in the world.

So yeah, this isn’t just a Vegas trip. It’s a glitter-dusted, time-bending, dopamine-fueled reclamation arc.

Obsessed with my morning biking crew! We help each-other get out and keep moving and have a blast together!
Since it was grey & cool out, we skipped our usual 5mi trail thru the woods which has full cover and went down the W&OD trail & even stopped at The Green Lizard at downtown Herndon for a cuppa before heading home. It really didn’t feel like we got much distance, and when I checked my watch after I saw we broke 5mi and we were all pumped for this new route option (when it’s not blazing hot out 😂)

Now I am curious what other routes we could take around here.
