Congratulations to SIH Herrin Hospital – Recipients of the Traveling STEMI Trophy!

We are proud to announce that SIH Herrin Hospital has been awarded the Traveling STEMI Trophy in recognition of their exceptional performance in emergency cardiac care. With an impressive ED Arrival to Departure time of just 17 minutes and a Door-to-Balloon time of 70 minutes, the team has set a high standard for efficiency and excellence.

A special commendation goes to Nick Lindsey, the primary nurse, and Haley Williams for their critical roles in this success. We also extend our sincere appreciation to UMR for their outstanding teamwork and rapid response—transporting the patient to SIH Memorial Hospital of Carbondale in just 16 minutes!

This achievement reflects the power of collaboration, precision, and dedication to patient care. Congratulations to all involved!

United Medical Response celebrated with SIH Herrin Hospital Emergency Department as the recent winners of the Traveling STEMI Trophy. They had an ED Arrival to Departure time of 22 minutes. The primary nurse was Dan Stowers. This time would not be possible without the teamwork within the hospital and outside with our EMS partners, United Medical Response. We are thankful for their dedication to improving patient outcomes in the communities that we serve!

QUICK ACTION: Congratulations to the SIH Herrin Hospital Emergency Department for an ED arrival to departure time of just 22 minutes! They've earned the latest STEMI Traveling Trophy. Time is vital when it comes to a heart attack.

Also shout out to Jaidon Davie who was the primary nurse that took care of this patient in the emergency department. This was another great example of collaboration with our local EMS partners. This time would not be possible with the support of United Medical Response.
