Congratulations to our most recent STEMI award recipients!

When a patient presented with symptoms of a heart attack, the SIH Herrin Hospital Emergency Department achieved an outstanding 10-minute diagnosis EKG–to–departure time and a remarkable 60-minute diagnosis EKG–to–reperfusion time. For context, the national benchmark for patients who present to a non-PCI facility and require transfer is 120 minutes—and the team at SIH Herrin Hospital accomplished this in half the time.

This is an incredible achievement and a true testament to their exceptional teamwork and seamless collaboration with our EMS partners at United Medical Response.
