🌟National Assisted Living Week!🌟

We kicked off the week with Heartfelt Adventure Day, featuring a magical screening of “Up” in our theater and a delicious popcorn bar! 🍿🎈
Residents and staff then enjoyed a refreshing coffee bar, offering a variety of flavors to sip and savor! ☕️
Next came Magical Adventure Day, where residents enjoyed eating The Wizard of Oz on the big screen and tested their knowledge with a fun-filled Wizard of Oz trivia challenge! 🧙🌈 They also got creative making chocolate-covered pretzel Wands with our Healthcare Director, Petri—which they happily shared with fellow residents and staff.🥨🍫
We then embraced the great outdoors with Adventure Day, complete with a scenic ride for our Harmony Square residents and a lively happy hour with a National Parks trivia competition. 🏞️ Congratulations to all our trivia winners!

📚✨ Beth and I had an amazing time at the launch event for OLLI at Penn State! The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) is a wonderful resource for adults aged 50 and better who are looking to stay curious, connected, and engaged through education, travel, and social opportunities.

The event was a great reminder of how vibrant and welcoming the OLLI community is. Whether you're interested in taking a class, joining a trip, or just meeting new people, there's something for everyone.

🌟Getting Creative for Glo Drumfit!🌟

Our residents had a blast designing their very own glow-in-the dark shirt for our upcoming Glo Drumfit class on September 16th! The excitement is building and we can’t wait to light up the room with color, rhythm, and fun.

Our residents have been making the most of the beautiful weather with some fun and friendly physical games outdoors! From foul shot competitions to putting challenges, there’s been no shortage of laughter, movement, and a little healthy competition.
A very special thank you to our amazing volunteer from the Hershey High School basketball team for leading the foul shooting contest and bringing such great energy to the day!
It’s wonderful to see everyone staying active, enjoying the fresh air, and sharing smiles together. These moments of joy and connection are what make our community so special!

🌟Restaurant Tour Fun on LuLu the Trolley!🌟

What an unforgettable day our residents had on a delightful restaurant tour aboard LuLu the trolley!
We kicked off our culinary adventure at The Hershey Bistro, where everyone enjoyed a fresh cranberry, almond, and spinach salad paired with a comforting tomato basil soup.
Next Stop: The Rising Sun! Residents were treated to mouthwatering pierogies with caramelized onions, a tasty sample of the turkey stack sandwich, and crispy beer-battered fries.
To top it all off, we indulged in dessert at Desserts Etc.— a scrumptious pumpkin cupcake with cream cheese icing and a mini pumpkin iced coffee.
The trolley ride itself was a highlight, filled with laughter, fun, and even some karaoke!
We were also thrilled to be joined by Susan from the Hershey Historical Society during the final portion of our tour. She shared fascinating stories and insights about the rich History of Hershey, adding a meaningful and educational touch to our day.
A huge thank you Eileen, co-founder and president of YOKL tours, for organizing such a joyful and delicious day. We’re already looking forward to our next adventure!

This morning, our residents had a truly delightful outing to the Hershey Community Garden! With perfect weather and joyful spirits, they explored the vibrant garden and learned about a variety of plants and flowers.
A heartfelt thank you to Lyn, who gave us a wonderful tour and shared the inspiring story of her flower outreach program, which has blossomed beautifully over the past several years. For the past four tears, Lyn had generously donated her stunning zinnias to our community—a gift that continues to brighten our days.
Each resident left with a vase full of fresh flowers and a smile. It was a day filled with nature, learning, and connection.💐

🐾 National Dog Day Fun!🐾

Today our residents teamed up with our Executive Director, Angi, to whip up some homemade dog treats—and wow, did they smell amazing! The peanut butter aroma filled the room and had everyone smiling. From mixing to molding, our residents had a blast creating tasty goodies for our furry friends.
It was a heartwarming way to celebrate the day, filled with laughter, creativity, and a whole lot of love for dogs!💛🐶
