I will be getting a newsletter together as soon as I can. I had one ready to go to print, but then my father passed. We lost so many in such a short time and I want to honor them in The Flyer.

My Dad, Joe Barrett, will be interred at Ft. Indiantown Gap with military honors on Friday, Sept. 25.

We've lost another 490 BBB'er. Arnie Spielberg passed away last evening. We send our deepest sympathies to his family. He will be missed. Here is the obituary.

It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my Dad, Joe Barrett, on August 12th. He has been the editor of The 490th Flyer for over 30 years. Being part of the 490th family was his greatest achievement, and many happy times were shared at Reunions. He will be missed.

No reunion in 2020. Due to the recent news that a resurgence of the COVID-19 virus is likely in the Fall, we will not be holding our 2020 Reunion in Philadelphia. This was such a difficult decision to make but we will not jeopardize our wonderful BBB vets and their families. More information will be forthcoming in the next issue of The 490th Flyer. So sorry, we will miss seeing ALL of you!
