Why doesn't Hesston Family Chiropractic take insurance?
I accepted insurance at the beginning of my career. I found many plans made it difficult for patients to get the care they needed due to high co-pays, restrictive visit limitations, and surprise claim denials. Some plans carried visit limits as low as 5 adjustments per year, or would outright deny care without any reasonable explanation. The insurance company was directing clinical decisions, not the patient or the doctor.
I then transitioned to a cash-based practice, and was able to witness how powerful chiropractic can be when the patient is able to take control of the frequency of care, and adjustments become a part of life. So I built this practice on that cash-based model. No claim denials, no visit limits, no surprise co-pays. And no one telling you when you've had enough.
I charge $45 for single visits, which is right around the average co-pay. The real value is in the monthly membership: $79 per month unlocks 4 visits at an average cost of less than $20 per adjustment, and any extra visits are just $20 each. No long or complicated contracts, you can cancel at any time. For patients who want to start routine care at a lower frequency, 6-visit packages are available for $199, about $33 per visit. That's it, simple and transparent.
