There are many kinds of leaders… and then there’s Tonya, who is truly one of a kind.

🐘 Tonya is the kind of person who walks beside you as a transformational other — a secure, steady presence that helps you feel safe enough to be yourself, explore, take risks, and grow into your best self. That’s where real transformation begins.

She’s visionary, radically relational, and a gentle guide. But never underestimate the power of fun in leading and healing! She laughs easily, dreams big, and somehow helps everyone around her believe that healing and change are actually possible. Equal amounts of tears and laughs along the way.

As the founder and visionary of Breathe Counseling, Tonya continues to do what she’s always done: intentionally create space for people to discover glimmers of hope and take brave next steps toward transformation, and toward their most authentic, embodied, and connected selves.

We’re grateful for her heart, humor, and the way she keeps us all journeying toward what’s possible, and toward things we might never have imagined on our own. 💛

Trauma leaves an imprint that touches every part of us: our body, our emotions, our relationships. Our bodies brace, our hearts protect, and parts of us learn to keep going by burying emotions that can feel too overwhelming.

Over time, those protective strategies can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves, from others, and from the life we long for.

Healing begins when those parts no longer have to carry everything on their own. When there is enough safety, care, and time, the very places that once felt too overwhelming can start to soften.

That’s why our Trauma Healing Intensive program, Healing Within, exists. Our retreat-style format creates a safe, immersive space where your story is held with care, your body is supported, and your system has the time it needs to process what traditional weekly therapy often takes years to reach.

Because at your core, you already hold the resilience to heal. Sometimes all that’s needed is the right environment and the presence of others to bring it forward.
