There will be a sitting this Sunday at the Don't Worry Zendo in North Hollywood. The program starts at 11am. There will be a pot luck lunch at 1pm and we go to about 3:30.

The Hi Vista Zendo was created as a "goof"—a playful idea that started as a kind of creative lark, not a formal institution. But sometimes goofs take on a life of their own. The “Zendo” is ten acres of raw, undeveloped high desert land—no facilities, no buildings—just open sky and quiet. And Joshua trees. It’s near Saddleback Butte State Park, which does have picnic tables, hiking trails, and restrooms. We have had some meditation programs there with visiting teachers from various traditions.

Last Saturday's retreat had the following schedule: 10am Arrive and settle in.
10:30 to 11:15 Sitting Meditation
11:15-11:45 Walking Meditation.
11:45 Tea, Break.
12:1 Sitting Meditation.
1 to 3 pm Lunch at Thai Restaurant in Lake Los Angeles.
3m Return to Zendo . Sitting Meditation.
4pm Dharma Talk. Sharing. Closing Circle.
Optional: For those camping at nearby State Park we will have evening sit, a light dinner and stargazing until 10pm.

We will repeat this schedule at our next sit.
