Just the right challenge for our kiddos on this fun Friday! 🥳

👀Visual engagement: Making eye contact with the therapist throughout the activity

👋🏻Functional Communication: Having the child request for more rides on the chair whether it be through a gesture or sound.

👨🏼‍🤝‍👨🏻Social participation: The child being able to share and participate with another peer throughout the activity without any disruptive behaviors.

🏃🏻‍♂️Motor Planning: Having the child climb out of the ball pit without the help of therapist and coordinate the right steps to come out.

🧠Sensory integration: Having the child being push push in a linear plane and then crashing in the ball pit to promote vestibular and proprioceptive input.

🗣Attention: Having the child respond to his name being called by the therapist

Rocking climbing is fun and also helps build developmental skills! 🧗‍♂️🙂

Here in our gym we are working on bilateral coordination, upper extremity strength, as well as motor planning! Sensory input is also being done through his feet as our friend climbs up barefoot on the rocks. Not to mention that eye hand coordination is also being worked on! Who would have thought that such an an activity can target so many things! 🎉
