Remember the beautiful wedding our team at St. Catherine’s Inpatient Care Center organized for a patient and his family? The bride recently shared an incredibly moving testimonial reflecting just how meaningful that moment—and the care they received—was to them.

This is what hospice truly represents: compassion, dignity, and going above and beyond when it matters most.

We couldn’t be prouder of our St. Catherine’s ICC team. 💙

They expressed deep gratitude for Dr. Rahaman and Continuous Care Nurse Aljean, whose empathy, responsiveness, and exceptional care brought comfort during an unimaginable time. 🌿💙

Their impact didn’t end when the service did — it stayed with the family long after.

As we celebration March as National Social Work Month, we proudly highlight one of our very own social workers, Sama! Sama's commitment to compassionate, culturally responsive care—especially for our Jewish patients—makes a meaningful difference every day. ✨

Last fall, Sama represented Catholic Hospice and our L’Chaim team at the 2025 NIJH Accreditation Conference, where hospice professionals explored Jewish medical ethics, end‑of‑life care, and culturally sensitive practices. The conference took place Nov 19–20, 2025 at Newark International Airport’s Doubletree by Hilton.

We’re grateful for social workers like Sama who continuously bring new insights back to our team—helping us care for every patient with dignity, respect, and understanding. 💛

Thank you, Sama! You inspire us daily. 🙌💐
