Catholic Hospice is a community-based not-for-profit program serving the South Florida community since 1988. Catholic Hospice provides responsive end-of-life care for patients of all ages and faiths, and assists families in caring for a loved one with reverence and dignity at the most vulnerable time in life’s journey. Our patients, residents and those who use our services are our first responsibility. We provide our services with love, skill, compassion and respect for all human dignity - regardless of race, creed or religious affiliation.

We're seeking compassionate individuals to join us at Camp Erin on October 24-26, 2025 to help create a safe space for our youth campers to heal and thrive after loss! 💞 Camp Erin is a FREE bereavement camp for youth ages 6 to 17 years old who are grieving a significant person in their lives.

By lending your support as a volunteer, you'll be a part of a transformative experience that fosters growth, connection, and hope. ✨ Our team will provide the necessary training, so don't let inexperience hold you back - just willingness to make a difference! 💪

NOTE: Candidates must be 18 years or older and have graduated high school.

Last week, Catholic Palliative Care Services Physician Dr. Anabel Alonso (pictured in red) was introduced as the new Associate Medical Director for Palliative Care and attending at Mercy Hospital in Miami. She was very well received by physicians, case managers, and nursing staff. The team hosted a special luncheon and many of our Catholic Hospice staff were in attendance to celebrate Dr. Alonso.

Congratulations again, Dr. Alonso! We wish you an abundance of success in this new role! We are excited to see you not only grow our palliative care program at Mercy Hospital, but as well as see you grow professionally and personally!

Our youth leadership board continues to share their support for our staff as they put together special gift bags for our staff at our Inpatient Care Centers. After receiving the bags, Clinical Care Manager Genevieve Yapp at our Holy Cross Inpatient Care Center shared, "It was greatly appreciated! It certainly brightened our day!"

✨ Clear and Active Professional License to practice in the state of Florida.
✨ 1-2 years of social work experience in a health care setting. Hospice experience preferred.
✨ Knowledge of AHCA Regulations, Medicare COP’s Guidelines required.
✨ Bilingual English & Spanish strongly preferred.

Last Friday, some of the members of our Young Voices for Hospice youth leadership board came into our Miami Lakes office to share some post-lunch snacks with our staff as appreciation for their work. Thank you to our board members - Asha, Anya, and Amanda - for coming into the office for a sweet end-of-the-week surprise for our administrative staff! More importantly, thank you so much to our administrative staff for all the support they give daily contributing to the success of what we do at Catholic Hospice! We appreciate ALL of you!
