A hard goodbye here at Maple Heights — Last week we had to say goodbye to our sweet Shyanne after almost 10 years on and off being a team member here.

From dietary aide to becoming a wife and mama, we’ve all had the privilege of watching her grow and blossom through the years. ❤️

Her smile, hard work, and caring heart will truly be missed by both residents and staff. While we’re so excited for her next chapter and big move, Maple Heights kitchen definitely won’t be the same without her around.

We love you, Shyanne, and wish you nothing but happiness and success on your new adventure!! ❤️

Don’t forget us — you’ll always have a home at Maple Heights! 🍁

Big congratulations to our amazing CNA ladies, Kaeleigh and Austynn, who are graduating school!! 🎓💙❤️

These two young women have already shown so much dedication, compassion, and heart while caring for our residents at Maple Heights. Their kindness and work ethic shine every single day, and we know they both have incredibly bright futures ahead of them.

We are so proud of all they’ve accomplished and can’t wait to watch them continue to grow, succeed, and make a difference wherever life takes them. Congratulations, girls — your Maple Heights family is cheering you on every step of the way! ❤️💙

What a way to finish out a fabulously fun week at Maple Heights.

Our residents were absolutely spoiled with puppy cuddles and wagging tails from some very special visitors — Tank, Izzy, Tonka, Mika, Nova, and Matilda stole the show today! 🐶💛

Between puppy snuggles, slices of pizza, buttery popcorn, and popsicles to cool off, there were smiles everywhere you looked today! 😁

It is safe to say the puppies may have gotten just as much attention as the snacks today 😂 Such a phenomenal end to our Nursing Home Week celebrations! 🩷

Thursday: May 14th - Nursing Home Week
2nd part of our MESSY day-
Pies in the Face!!!
Hosted by the Nursing Department

🥧Today was just straight up MESSY at Maple Heights..… and we loved every second of it!!!!!!😂 We're pretty sure the events will go down in history!

Residents and staff teamed up for the ultimate Cool Whip Pies in the face — and nobody was safe! 🤪 No our could not control the genuine laughter, to the point that our bellies hurt and cheeks were sore from smiling! 🤡

Some staff bravely took the hits from the pies… and even a few residents joined in on the fun too! What an AMAZING time!

Safe to say there were LOTS of smiles, LOTS of laughs, and probably whipped cream in places we still haven’t found yet. 🤣

These are the moments that make memories unforgettable ❤️

Thursday: May 14th - Nursing Home Week
Cheeto Head- hosted by Activities and Occupational Therapy

This morning’s game was one for the books…..CHEETO HEAD! 🧀
And it is exactly what it sounds like. 🤪

Heather and Kendra suited up with shaving cream-covered caps while residents took their best shots tossing Cheetos and pickle balls at their heads! 🟠🎯🟢
Let’s just say….those ladies became snack trays REAL quick. 😂

The competition was fierce, the aim was surprisingly impressive 👀, and the laughter was absolutely nonstop from everyone watching and playing along! 😁

We may still be finding Cheeto dust in random places, but it was 100% worth it for the smiles and memories made today! 🧡

Wednesday: May 13th - Nursing Home Week
Hosted by the "Office Crew": Administrator, Admissions, Business Office Manager and Assistant, MDS Coordinator, Medical Records, and Social Services.

Simply Spoiled Spa Day at Maple Heights was a whole experience today! 💅🧖‍♀️💜

Residents and Staff were treated to massages from Natasha with St. Croix Hospice, relaxing foot soaks and scrubs, hair styling, nails, makeup, and even some extra fun with a braided beard and a styled mohawk! 😎 We're too cool!!

Of course, no spa day is complete without relaxing citrus and cucumber water - as well as a delicious meat & cheese tray to indulge in while being pampered.

Safe to say everyone left feeling refreshed, spoiled, and smiling. 💜 🌸

Oh and if the spa wasn't enough, staff started the morning with fresh Dunkin Donuts and juice! 😁🍩

Tuesday: May 12th Nursing Home Week!
Today we packed TWO themes into one amazing day on the wild side at Maple Heights!!!

This morning, our residents tried their luck with our Human Slot Machine 🎰🍒💰 — the room was full of laughs, cheering, and jackpot-worthy fun! Oh what a time we had!

Then this afternoon, things got extra sassy with our "Tattoos & Brews"😎🖤 Resident and staff ranged from sweet little designs to full-on biker vibes! Forehead tats and everything you can imagine, served with fresh brewed (root)beer floats!
Everyone had a blast showing off their new “ink!” 😂

One thing’s for sure… our residents know how to have FUN! ❤️

The staff may need a timeout after today’s Water Balloon Fight at Maple Heights! 💦😂

Our residents had the important job of launching water balloons at staff — and let’s just say they understood the assignment. What a humbling and hysterical experience!!

There were lots of laughs, soaked employees, and a whole lot of fun had by everyone involved.😁

Nothing beats seeing smiles, hearing laughter, and making memories together! ☀️💙

Kudos to Josh, Director of Rehab PTA for taking the bucket of water! 💧💧💧😂 (at the end of sideshow)

There were sneak attacks, lots of laughs, questionable aim, and residents who definitely took this competition very seriously. Safe to say the staff may have underestimated their opponents.

The beginning of Nursing Home Week, as well as Mother's day.

A little sweet, a little heartfelt 💐

Yesterday, at Maple Heights, we celebrated all of the wonderful mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures who have shared so much love over the years. 💕

Each lady received a beautiful corsage for Mother’s Day — a small reminder of how special and appreciated they truly are.

Seeing the smiles, stories, and pride worn right alongside those flowers made the day extra meaningful. Endless love and gratitude to all our amazing ladies! 🌷
