Feeling disconnected or stuck in painful patterns with people you care about?

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) can heal old wounds, shift rigid attachment styles, and bring safety and connection back into relationships. Whether you're navigating relationship struggles, working through past hurts, or trying to better understand how your attachment styles impacts your life, it's possible to find more secure bonds, greater emotional safety, and real closeness.

Read more in Janey's latest blog post to discover the stages of EFT, how therapy helps you change long-standing patterns, and why attachment matters so much in how we see ourselves and relate to others.

We are thrilled to share that MWR is now offering ADHD consultation services!

As our understanding of ADHD has expanded in recent years, more and more adults have found themselves wondering if undiagnosed ADHD may be a part of their story. Our consultations are designed to provide diagnostic clarity and insight into the way your mind works to help you begin working with your natural tendencies.

ADHD consultation at MWR is provided by Erin Thiemann, LMHC. Erin is a Certified Affirmative Assessor for ADHD through MindfulU and works from a neuro-affirming lens. ADHD consultation is not a full psychological evaluation, but a structured, evidence-informed consultation tailored specifically to ADHD.

ADHD consultation at MWR is a private pay service, and at this time is offered to individuals 18 and older.

If you are wondering if ADHD may be playing a role in your life, give us a call at 319.250.1267 to learn more!

Ever wondered why your partner's mood can lift you up - or weigh you down? The answer lies in attachment theory.

From infancy to adulthood, the way our needs were met (or not met) by caregivers shapes how we connect, trust, and seek comfort in relationships. The good news? Attachment styles aren't fixed - they can grow and change over time.

Read more in Janey's latest blog post and explore how understanding attachment can strengthen your relationships.

It's back to school time!

Amidst all of the back to school shopping and soaking up the last fews days of summer vacation, it may be helpful to also think about the impact the transition back to school may have on your kids and families. Many kids experience after-school restraint collapse, which can contribute to additional stress, frustration, and conflict at home.

Check out Annika's blog all about after-school restraint collapse to see how you and your family can cope and adjust to this upcoming transition!

MWR is excited to share that Cody is now offering Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) - an evidenced-based therapy designed to help clients process trauma, anxiety, depression, phobias, and more - often in fewer sessions than traditional talk therapy.

With ART, you don't have to relive or talk about painful memories to heal from them. Instead, ART helps the brain reprocess distressing experiences using eye movements and imagery - quickly, safety, and effectively.

Visit our website to learn more: https://mwrcounseling.com/accelerated-resolution-therapy-art/

Or give us a call at 319-250-1267 to schedule with Cody!
