Going to say a lot, so please read on if you would like⬇️
When we share what we think health is and only preach eating and/or exercising as what health is you are missing so much more…..I’m going to share my feeling and you can agree or disagree, I don’t mind.
My journey with my health and what I shared with others goes way deeper than that. We are not just a size we are much more….dive deeper into your health besides just food & exercise🙌🏼
#1 what we eat will fuel us or add toxins….that being said, I’m not a 💯 clean eater, I never will be. I have been on that boat….become obsessed to the point I didn’t allow my kids treats…..they then started exchanging at school and hoarding causing my kids to worry if they were “fat”….creating eating disorders. To me life is all about moderation….OF EVERYTHING.
🚨 DO NOT DIET….IF ITS NOT GOING TO BE A LIFESTYLE CHANGE…DONT WASTE YOUR TIME….
#2 exercise….like anything you can over exercise….it’s needed for so much but my focus is for functional movement daily….I tell my clients know what you want and can your body handle the workouts you are choosing or is your body breaking down with injuries🤨. I cannot tell you how many people only so crazy high impact training with ZERO parasympathetic workouts….wonder why you can’t sleep/inflammation/pain/high strung🤗 your body is stuck in the sympathetic nervous system(fight or flight)
#3 your SKIN….UMMMM…THE BIGGEST ORGAN OF YOUR BODY…. You think what you eat is important and skip this….man….why waste your time on anything else….what you wash your clothes in that lay on your skin daily seeping toxins into your bloodstream all day/night….to what you wash your face with, hair, body,spray, toothpaste…..the dumping of toxins this way affects ALL SYSTEMS OF YOUR BODY….so when your preaching health this should be your #1 in my books
#4 mental health because without that the rest aren’t even possible….so maybe this is #1🤨.
#5 meditation….taking the time to sit with you and/or your god.
#6 working sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems….I see so many in my practice that need cranial/facial work and focus on finding exercises yoga/Pilates/meditating/breath work to find the parasympathetic nervous system….you live in fight and flight you are exhausting your systems and will find yourself sick/exhausted/unable to loose weight and so much more..
#7 love what you do….if you HATE YOUR JOB….THAT YOU SPEND MOST OF YOUR LIFE AT….you will find you struggle with many areas of your life. I see lots of ailments in my practices because people hate/despise the job they are at!
#8 YOUR BED!!! You spend half your life in bed….sleep is what heals your body and rejuvenates us….if your bed sux….the rest of your life life will to!
#9 NOT ASKING FOR HELP…thinking you are superwomen or Superman….the stress that causes on the body goes deep
#10 my biggest I preach….don’t be an enabler…it isn’t your job to take on to change someone or become consumed with their lifestyle or think you can “fix them”. It isn’t your journey it is theirs….read the book “Codependent No More” by Melody Beattie….game/life changer
#11. Stretch stretch stretch…you would be blown away how many aches and pains disappear just from this
#12…..POSTERIOR CHAIN EXERCISE 🤯. I won’t go on my soapbox 🙈
#13 find nature…sit with the trees…it will RECHARGE YOU AND RECONNECT YOU 🪴
#14 how is your body stacked…proper alignment is key…ankle to knee to hip….if that’s not good…welcome pain and problems….go see Mike Benders in Hibbing on Thursdays or call duluth/rapids…he will help get you fitted for the correct shoes you need to align those areas👊🏽
#15 GUT HEALTH….your stomach is your second brain….everything you put in affects how you think…I feel lots of our mental health comes from where our gut health is at….daily probiotics/prebiotics/enzymes are a must 🫶🏽
we are not god so please don’t treat people like what you offer is the end all be all….don’t preach health like yours is perfect and you are perfect….or that the diet/lifestyle you are on is the “ONE”, because how do you truly know it is🙉….THAT BEING SAID….MY ABOVE I SHARE TO MANY MAY NOT BE YOUR BELIEF AND THATS OK👊🏽
