Temporary Closure Update

Red Light Rejuvenation / Hibbing Handcrafted Market will remain closed until at least the end of May; due to an illness and circumstances outside of our control.

This is not the update I wanted to make, and I am truly sorry for the inconvenience. I know people have been waiting on messages, appointments, shopping, gift certificates, vendor updates, all things squishy and normal business things, and I promise those things matter to me.

Right now, I am not able to respond to messages like I normally would. Please know I am not ignoring anyone. I simply need time to focus on health, recovery, and getting things stable enough to come back the right way.

Thank you for giving us patience and grace during this unexpected pause. I will post updates here as I’m able, and I look forward to reopening when it is safe and realistic to do so.

I owe everyone a little update and a big thank you for your patience! 🌹

The last couple of weeks have brought some unexpected personal circumstances that have pulled me away more than I ever wanted. I’m not going to bring the details onto this business page, but I do want to acknowledge that my posting, open hours, and consistency have been affected.

As a new small business, consistency matters so much. I know that. I care about that deeply.

Red Light Rejuvenation, Hibbing Handcrafted Market and everything being built inside this space mean a lot to me, and I do not take lightly when people show up, make plans, or support what we are trying to grow here.

We also had to cancel an event that some people had already heard about before I was even able to fully get the advertising out. If you came by Saturday and I wasn’t here, I am truly sorry. That is not how I want anyone to experience this place.

Right now, I am the only one who can be here during business hours, and there have been times I’ve had to step away for things that could not be moved. If you stop by and see a note on the door, please offer a little grace. I promise I am doing everything I can to keep showing up, keep rebuilding, and keep this space moving forward.

This business has already had to start over once after our previous location situation forced us to move before we were ready. We risked a lot to keep going, and I still believe with my whole heart that this space is worth fighting for.

Listen… tomorrow, rather today now... is not just Cinco de Mayo.

It is Cinco de Mayo AND Taco Tuesday at the same time, which feels less like a calendar date and more like the universe politely tapping us on the shoulder saying, “Go get the tacos.” 🌮🤣

So we need to give a big shoutout to our good friends at Mucho Si, one of our absolute favorite local places to eat.

The food? Amazing.
The people? Even better.
The vibes? Full-on family, friendly, welcoming, and “you may need stretchy pants” levels of good.

Theresa’s personal favorite is the Nayarit, because apparently one fabulous plate with enough food for a small council meeting is exactly her love language.

Robert’s favorite? The Nashwauk Burrito, which earned his official first-time review of:
“This place, this food, all of it is bomb.”

Honestly, accurate. No notes. 😂

And let’s not forget the chips, salsa, and that queso cheese dip that somehow convinces you that self-control is just a rumor someone made up.

Plus, they’re doing $5 classic margaritas all day, and at that point the math is mathing for everybody. Not girl math. Not guy math. Just Mucho Si math. 🍹

So tomorrow, if you’re looking for somewhere to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, Taco Tuesday, surviving Monday, or whatever season northern Minnesota has decided to cosplay as this week, go show Mucho Si some love.

Grab your people. Order the tacos. Sip the margarita. Maybe order the queso. Definitely wear the stretchy pants.

Support good food, good people, and a great local restaurant run by genuinely wonderful, family-oriented folks.

Because Cinco de Mayo landing on Taco Tuesday?

That’s not a coincidence.

Let’s talk about the little things for a second. 💛

One of the things I’m really proud of as Hibbing Handcrafted Market grows is making sure there’s something here for different budgets, different ages, and different kinds of shoppers.

Yes, that includes handmade vendor items.

Yes, that includes beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces.

And yes, that also includes affordable little gifts, trinkets, goodies, and fun finds that kids, teens, and everyday shoppers can actually afford, especially for our Mother’s Day event.

Because when a child walks in with a few dollars and gets to proudly pick out something special for Mom, Grandma, Auntie, or someone they love, that matters.

Not every gift has to be expensive to be meaningful.

This market is being built with heart, creativity, community, and affordability in mind. We want people to walk in and feel welcome, not priced out.

Hibbing has beautiful clothing, shoes and accessories sprinkled all over town and that's the beauty of other businesses' visions! All price ranges in each place to hopefully cover all of the Range.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this growing space, share ideas, shop local, cheer on our vendors, and help shape what Hibbing Handcrafted Market is becoming.

All new items we carry: clothing, jewelry, trinkets, squishies, and everything else will be moved into our boutique space.

Right now, due to our kids shopping event and Mother's Day coming up, they are sprinkled everywhere so the kids feel like they had a whole store to pick from, not just a pile in one place. 💕

Boutique behind-the-scenes moment:

This is why I sample clothing before I bring it into the store.

Because sometimes you order what appears to be a beautiful, flowy, soft floral dress…

And what arrives looks like the listing photo’s weird cousin who got printed during a power outage. 😂

I ordered by measurements, not by “XL should be XL,” because we all know online sizing charts sometimes live in a fantasy kingdom with no laws.

And even with ordering by measurements?

I couldn’t get half my arm into one side of it.

Half. My. Arm.

At that point, we are no longer discussing fashion. We are discussing a fabric crime scene.

So yes, when I say I’m building this boutique carefully, I mean it.

I’m ordering samples.
I’m checking fabric.
I’m checking sizing.
I’m checking quality.
I’m checking whether the item actually resembles the photo it was pretending to be.

Because I refuse to bring in clothes based on a cute picture and a prayer and surely no dang Temu, Shein stuff!

If something makes it into my boutique, it means it passed the Theresa test:

Would I wear it?
Would I sell it with confidence?
Would I feel good handing it to a customer?
Would I be embarrassed if someone opened the package in front of me?

This dress failed so hard it needs its own try on then exit interview. 😂

I’ll keep taking the online shopping risks first so you don’t have to.

Because affordable does not have to mean disappointing, and cute should not arrive looking like a whole different zip code...like ever!!!!
