“Put your best foot forward” was never about thriving. It was about conditioning women to over-function for free.
Things don’t have to be perfect to be enough. “Your best” was never meant to mean everything for everyone.
You’re allowed to choose good enough and actually feel good. “Your best” certainly has a time and place. But isn’t all times and all places.
