I’d like to start sharing a little more about what my business is and who I am as your practitioner 👐🏼💫
This business is rooted in the belief that bodies deserve safety, dignity, and care. I believe rest is not something we earn, it is something we need to survive. You can come here and now that your body is safe and held.
I believe healing happens slowly, with consent, attunement, and respect for nervous systems that have been stretched thin by stress, trauma, and uncertainty.
Ritual Rest values autonomy, consent, bodily agency, and the right to make choices about one’s own body. It’s one of the reasons new client intake is more than just filling out a form. It’s why I check in during session, especially when introducing new techniques. It’s why at any moment, you can ask me to adjust pressure.
I welcome people who feel unseen, overwhelmed, grieving, or exhausted by systems that ask too much and give too little back.
This space is intentionally non-judgmental, trauma-aware, and grounded in care. I am committed to creating a space that is emotionally and physically safe. I am responsible for the container I create for others’ healing. My treatment room has conditions, and one of them is basic human dignity.
There is no room for intolerance, discrimination, or rhetoric that dehumanizes others in my treatment room. If your beliefs or behavior deny the dignity, autonomy, or humanity of others, I may not be the right practitioner for you. I’m not for everyone - and I’m okay with that.
These conditions are not arbitrary. They are foundational to effective care. Safety, trust, and respect are consistently reinforced in both my communication education and massage therapy education + training as essential to nervous system regulation and meaningful therapeutic outcomes. Without them, the work simply cannot go as deep or be as effective.
For some, this may feel obvious if you know me personally or understand the work I do. But when the world feels unsafe and uncertain, clarity about values matters.
