Welcome to my page Amy Neal Counseling! I offer online individual counseling for Adolescents 13 and older (with guardian consent) and Adults of all ages.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina and work with clients from all over the state.* I have been in practice since 2014 in a variety of settings including: office-based therapy, teletherapy, in-home therapy, and school-based therapy.
My specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, and cross-cultural adjustment. I offer Christian counseling and can integrate Biblical foundations and truths for those who find this approach helpful.
I use an Integrative therapeutic model, meaning I combine strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, EMDR, and Family Systems. No two people are exactly alike and their experiences are certainly not alike so I use a combination of these strategies to tailor therapy to meet your needs and help you make progress to Grow and Flourish into who you are meant to be.
I offer a free 15 minute consultation during which I will share more in detail about the therapy process and discuss whether we would be a good fit in working together.
If it is determined during the consultation that we would be a good fit, we would then schedule your initial intake session. This usually lasts about 50 minutes and we go over what has brought you to therapy, symptoms, struggles, and how various aspects of your life have been affected. We will talk about how the counseling process can help you to grow in all areas of your life.
Subsequent session will be either weekly or every two weeks, depending on scheduling needs. Usually as you begin making progress toward your goals, sessions are scheduled farther apart to give you more time between sessions to practice and use the skills we discuss in therapy. Subsequent sessions are typically 45 to 50 minutes long.
Call me at (704) 286-6608 to schedule your 15 minute consultation. I have availability throughout the week and availability on weekends.
*Due to licensure restrictions, I am not able to offer counseling to those residing outside of the state of NC at this time.
